2nd Reading, Bill #6128, General Election for Councilman Ward 4, Councilman Ward 4 and Councilman-at-Large
This ordinance calls for a general election to be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 for the purpose of electing Council representatives for Ward 1, Ward 4 and Councilman-at-Large. All positions are for a three year term.
The election dates and filing periods for the upcoming City Council election follow the same protocols as all City Council elections in recent memory, and we believe the City has met all applicable laws and requirements regarding the election. Staff recommends approval of Ordinance 6128.
Authorization to Purchase Asphalt Hotbox
Staff would like to purchase a 2 Ton KM 4000 trailer-mounted Hot Box for asphalt repairs from K&M International. The cost of the hot box is $21, 185.00 and is included in approved budget using Transportation Sales Tax funds. This would replace our existing asphalt Pro Patch Truck.
Consideration of 5-Year Capital Improvement Plan
The Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) is the city’s 5 year plan for investment in capital assets. Development of the 2020-2024 CIP began in November with city staff. Staff requests that Council accept the attached Capital Improvement Plan. This plan will inform decisions made in the FY2020 budget process which will begin this spring.
