Admiral & Alki Co-Worshipping
December 30 and January 6

As neighbor congregations, we are uniquely situated to build durable relationships between our churches. We can also support one another when our staff are out of town, and these post-Christmas worship services offer us the perfect opportunity to do both!
 This Sunday, December 30, Pastor Andrew Conley-Holcom and the congregation from Admiral head down the hill to join us for a combined worship at 10:00 am. His sermon, "After the Party's Over," will explore the idea of commitment (rather than celebration) as the "big C" that flows from our experience of Christmas.
The following week, on January 6, Alki UCC makes the trek uphill for a 10:30 am worship service at Admiral UCC, 4320 SW Hill St. The Spiritual Travelers, a special group composed of Alki members and friends, will provide musical and dramatic reflection on the story of Epiphany. They will expand the circle beyond the "three kings" to include their wives, and deepen our experience of Holy Communion — one of Christianity's most recognizable rituals for shared commitment to God's Kin(g)dom.
Both congregations are excited to be gathered together as one church, the church of Christ Jesus, the newborn King!

Children will remain in worship for the entire service. Activity packs are on the back pew or available from an usher.

Noon to 8:00 pm
All choir members are getting together later than usual in honor of the Women's March happening that day.
During the workshop, we'll review our membership agreements and get  new music/new schedules to take us through June.
We'll all be doing dinner potluck items for this event.

The rest of the missing schoolgirls kidnapped by Boko Haram, who remain in our hearts as long as they remain missing. The hungry and homeless, the ill and the addicted, the lost and the lonely; the unemployed.
