We Love Pets, Just Like You..

Happy February Everyone!
Can you believe it? January has come and gone! Valentine's Day is on the way. Celebrate with those you love (whether two legged or four). Carpe diem for tomorrow is not promised.
I just celebrated 34 glorious years of marriage to my wonderful guy that I met and married in just 3 months time. Yep, love at first sight does exist!
We've been through a lot over the years (richer & poorer, sickness & health doesn't even begin to cover it). We've weathered it well and I can honestly say "I love him more than ever" and I know he feels the same. I can only hope our children are as lucky in love as we have been. Looking forward to 34 more fabulous years! It could happen!
We've got a lot going on in this newsletter so be sure to scroll all the way down so you don't miss a thing. Especially our positive thought for the month!
Thank you again for your continued patronage. We love serving you!
What are your plans for 2019? Post on our FACEBOOK or INSTAGRAM pages to share your thoughts, #RESOLVE I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU!
Hugs and Happy Tails,
Terie Hansen

FUN WAYS TO CELEBRATE VALENTINE'S DAY WITH YOUR PET
|
Love is in the air, so why not share it with those you care about? I'm talking about your pets of course. They give us so much love, support, laughter and more every day. Valentine's day is a great day to do something special just for them.
Do something they love to do. Does your dog love to go for walks? Take them some place new. Make it an adventure. Explore a new park. Take a hike. Is playing ball his favorite thing? Do it! Does your cat like to play? Visit your local pet store and pick up a few new teasers or toys. Lasers are great for cats (not so much for dogs, they can create obsessive behaviors).

Get them a special Treat. Visit a local Barkery (bakery for dogs) Such as ThreeDog Bakery Visit them here You'll find yummy treats fit for a king! All natural Three Dog Bakery sells biscuits, cookies, cakes, and meals, and while the company boasts that the food is good enough for humans to eat, it's intended for dogs. ... And the executives say they can vouch for their products because they've eaten them. "We eat every treat before we give it to a dog," said Islinger.

Arrange a Play Date! Does your dog have a special friend? Invite them over. Have special treats. Dress them up and have a photo shoot!
Don't have a pet to celebrate with? ADOPT! Visit a local shelter or rescue organization to find your furry valentine. The Gwinnett Humane Society is a great place to start visit them HERE...
Having a pet to celebrate with makes Valentine's day just a little sweeter!

Good Dog! Spotlight: Pet of the Month
|
Meet DeeGee!
This is DG! He is one of our regular clients. A big sweet Maine Coon mix with a lot to say! He is an only child and is spoiled rotten by his dad! He loves his feather toy and laser pointer, but usually prefers to curl up on the couch with Jana or Aidan (his favorite pet sitters).
The Maine Coon is a big lug. He has a muscular, big-boned body and weighs 9 to 18 pounds. He loves his family but isn’t demanding of attention. He’ll follow you around and show an interest in what you’re doing, and if you’d like to give him some lap time, well, he’s all in favor of that, too. This is one of those cats who gets along with everyone, including dogs and other cats. He enjoys playing fetch and is willing to learn to walk on a leash, making him a great choice for anyone who travels frequently and would like to bring a feline companion along!

When In Doubt, Dogs Work It Out
|
Dog’s don’t live in a vacuum. They are constantly learning about their environment and about us. They are watching and deciphering what they think we are trying to communicate to them, even though we may be unaware that we even ARE communicating to them! When unclear about what we are saying to them (and let’s face it, we usually use WAY more words than we need) they “listen” to our body language and tone of our voice. Cues, cues and more cues!
