CEO Update
Trauma Tuesday
STEMS Coordinator Alicia Broadbent along with several area EMS providers participated last week in the first Trauma Tuesday via videoconference presented by Erie County Medical Center (ECMC). Participants took part in several case reviews of trauma incidents from our area. This was led by a panel of physicians and nurses from ECMC. Additional Trauma Tuesday sessions have already been planned for May 21st, August 20th and November 19th, 2019 at 2 p.m. This is a great way for us to hear from the ER staff and to recognize where we can improve care from the prehospital perspective. I would like to thank Beth Moses, Trauma Injury Prevention and Education Coordinator from ECMC for bringing this to our area.

Independent Audit
Colleen Ross, our bookkeeper, has been extremely busy working to ensure everything is in order as we close out the books for 2018. As part of our annual due diligence, we have begun our 2018 annual audit. This year we’ve welcomed Ed Bysiek, CPA to review our books and ensure our fiscal operations align with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Once the audit has been completed, Mr. Bysiek, CPA will be presenting the 2018 audit to our Board of Directors. This is a document that is also shared with many of our funders. As I am sure you will all agree, this transparency is key to the critical funding we need to serve our communities. I would like to thank Colleen for all her dedication to ensure Mr. Bysiek has what he needs to get this audit completed.
