To birth your own sacred pouch is a truly rewarding experience; putting your love, intent, and energy into this powerful medicine bag will make a truly special protective container that will carry personal items, amulets and medicine.
We will open circle by calling in our Ancestors, guides and power animals, set our intentions and prepare our skins for medicine pouch/bag making. The Medicine bag contains both symbolic and ritual items. A personal medicine bag may contain objects that symbolize personal well-being and tribal identity. Traditionally bags are worn under the clothing or around the waist but can also be worn around the neck to hang in front of the chest area. It is usually worn to carry medicine, for good luck, protection and strength.
Items typically found in a medicine bag are various herbs, sage, tobacco, sweetgrass used for smudging, you can also add crystals, stones, seeds, beads, photos, amulets, etc.
In this full day workshop, you will be shown the full art of Medicine Pouch/Bag making in the traditional way using lacing, sewing, and decorating, keeping the spirit of the animal as a partner in your medicine journey, through a day of ceremony, honoring the spirits of the animal and ancestors.
Your investment is $55.00 and includes all basic supplies to create and decorate your sacred bag.

A full history, guidance, demo and a show and tell of other pouches is also included in this workshop. With your Medicine pouch/bag you will venture on a journey and relationship of healing, learning and teaching between you and Spirit through the pouch as a sacred container.

If you like you can bring your own art supplies to paint or draw on your leather, you can also bring beads, feathers, stones, amulets, etc to decorate.
