The results are in.... and Prosperous Dramatic Society have won the RTE Open Finals in Athlone with Ibsen's An Enemy of the People, in a version by Rebecca Lenkiewicz. 
 
Following on their win in the Ulster Finals in April, this is the second consecutive win for Prosperous in Athlone. Director TJ Duggan also picked up Best Director, while Cyrena Hayes was awarded Best Actress for her portrayal of Mrs Stockmann in the play.

Michael Dunbar from Kilrush DG won Best Actor as Thomas Dunne in The Steward of Christendom by Sebastian Barry while The Abbey Prize was awarded to Cornmill TG with their production of On Broken Wings by Dermot Healy. The play will be on The Peacock stage 6 -8 June. www.abbeytheatre.ie
