Understand the Mysteries of the Creative Process

Hi Creative Seeker,

The 3 Ways are summarized at the bottom.

Here is a quick version of what I covered about the how the Kaizen-Muse Creativity Coaching Training works:

2. Be a Blockbuster
You will become aware of how creativity works, what blocks are normal in the process, how we can navigate around blocks including procrastination, perfectionism, low self-confidence, difficulty focusing, feelings of overwhelm, resistance, too many ideas, the accumulation of unfinished projects, staying creative amid life changes, and losing your creative mojo. You gain mastery at overcoming blocks.

3. Be a Part of the Journey
designed to heighten your awareness, intuition, mindfulness, resourcefulness, and strengths, therefore giving you the power to navigate around the fear, habits, harsh self-talk, resistance, and pressure that are normally encountered in the process. Experience creative mastery that leads to passion and perseverance and the desire to help others do the same.

"The design of the Kaizen Muse Coaching is unique; like nothing else I've ever seen in the coaching world. One of the most useful parts of the Training Manual is the section on 'Kaizen Muse Creativity Coaching Ten Tools.'These tools operate in a different part of the brain from what's accessed in coaching for 'results' or 'performance.'
The tools are effective with clients at any stage of development, and they can be taken off the shelf the minute the coach recognizes a pattern of thinking or behaving. Specific applications of each tool are provided with detailed instructions. What can I say: It's a gold mine!!!"

Three Ways to Un-procrastinate Yourself

1. Creativity is a return to yourself. Have you ever procrastinated and triumphed? Ask yourself what's worked in the past? What else could work? Move yourself from victim to master by plugging into your own strengths. It's more important that taking ANY advice from someone else. I share what works for me during the teleconference.

2. Obsess about what you love about the process. We like to focus on what hasn't worked. If you focus on what you love, and what you GET TO do... it's hard NOT to show-up. But you must lower expectations and break it down to steps so small it's hard NOT to do it, for instance: Ask a question, point yourself toward your task, just do 30 seconds. These things create a momentum that keeps you going and doesn't immobilize you.

3. Be part of a structure: Team up with a pal, take a class, create a deadline, go to a retreat. We creative people need a place to show-up or we will float around endlessly

We took a poll, the three highest areas of procrastination were Social Media and the smart phone, feeling immobilized, AND over responsibility. I talk about how social media and cyber-distractions (social media and email) can be killing your creativity and how to handle it without abandoning your self-esteem.

Ask yourself: How can I make it easier? How can I make it more fun"
