Good Dog! Spotlight: Pet of the Month
|
ADOPT Samson!
Samson or Sam as we call him is a beautiful and sweet boy who is available for adoption through the Gwinnett Animal Shelter.
He has been waiting for his forever family for some time now. Samson was returned to the animal shelter due to lack of training and social skills. He was nervous and wary of men, not good with other dogs and just plain out of control.
He's been here at Good Dog! Coaching & Pet Care for training and he has been a fast and eager learner. Samson's amazing transformation is a result of our Board & Train HYBRID Program. We put him on the fast track to learning, shared leadership, boundaries, structure and discipline and he is much happier, well adjusted guy.

WHAT IS A BOARD & TRAIN HYBRID PROGRAM?
|
With our BOARD & TRAIN HYBRID Programs, the dog you have today, doesn’t have to be the dog you have tomorrow.
Happier owners and happier dogs!
You AND your dog will be better educated and HAPPIER!
WELCOME TO BOARD & TRAIN HYBRID BY GOOD DOG! COACHING & PET CARE
Most Board & Train programs give little follow up care to the
owner. It’s all about the time spent with the dog while it’s boarding. While this is great for the dog, what is the owner
learning? This philosophy makes it very difficult for the dog and their owners to succeed in the long run.
You see, dog trainers can train dogs. That’s a given. But, in the long run the dog lives with the owner so, the owner needs to learn how to maintain what was taught to the dog in the first place. The owner needs training as much as the dog does! An hour or two at the training facility when they pick up their dog isn’t going to cut it. Not remotely. When the dog goes home, the owners are ill equipped for the flashback that the dog will most assuredly experience. At Good Dog! Coaching & Pet Care we give you more, much more. LEARN MORE >>> HERE

LOW EXPECTATIONS YIELD LOW RESULTS
|
Dog Behavior, Low expectations yield low results.
I often feel I have much higher expectations for dogs than my clients do. This is because I know what dogs are capable of in terms of learning good behavior.
Many dog owners are used to living with their dog’s bad behaviors either because they don’t know it can be better, or they don’t know how to make it happen, or worse, they are not willing to put forth the effort to make it happen.
If it is a matter of budget, there are tons of FREE how-to videos online. Not to mention, plenty of people have trained their dogs using online videos to guide them.
I believe that most dog owners don’t realize how good it can be! Of course, if they have reached out to a dog trainer like myself, they have and just need help with the process.

Jaymie is currently a student at GGC perusing a bachelor’s degree in science of mathematics. She love's animals because they’re always there for us! Jaymie says "They deserve the best care, even the little rambunctious ones.". Jaymie has been working and volunteering in pet care for years. Interacting with any animal makes her happy but bunnies will always have a special place in her heart.
Jaymie currently owns five rabbits and two cats. Regardless of whether they have fur or scales Jaymie will treat your pets as family members who need just as much love and emotional care as they do physical.

Blueberry Almond Crisp
by Cookie + Kate
Here we are in high summer, and it seems to be going just right. Slow. Lazy. Everyone’s out of town. The locusts outside are screeching in unison every evening. Everything is as is should be.
Blueberries won’t be here much longer, so make a blueberry crisp before they go. I found a hefty two-pound container of them at Trader Joe’s and baked them up into a brilliantly purple dessert with a gluten-free almond and oat topping.
