Raoul and The Big Time
Maple Blues Award winners (and six time nominees) Raoul and The Big Time have been entertaining audiences for over twenty years with their unique brand to "Toronto/Chicago/Hollywood Blues" and return to the mainland for the first time since debuting at The Vancouver Folk Festival almost a decade ago.
International Blues Challenge 2019 Semi Finalists, and NOW Magazine Best Toronto Blues Artist 2007, they have released five recordings over the last twenty years and have performed at festivals from coast to coast including Salmon Arm, Montreal International Jazz, Harvest Jazz and Blues, Toronto Jazz and RBC Ottawa Blues Festivals.
Led by actor/singer/harmonica player Raoul Bhaneja, who has toured with Colin James and is known for his acting work on both stage and screen, this band has recorded with legends such as The Mavis Staples Band, Larry Taylor of Canned Heat, Curtis Salgado, Billy Boy Arnold, Super Chikan, Johnny Sansone, Lee Oskar, Mark Hummel, Billy Branch Rusty Zinn, Junior Watson and many many more.
