CEO Update
Dr. Lyle F. Renodin Foundation
I am happy to report that the Dr. Lyle F. Renodin Foundation graciously will be supporting the Cribs for Kids program again. The Renodin Foundation is a Ministry of the Franciscan Sisters of Allegany, NY. This grant will allow us to purchase over 20 cribs and sheet sets to be given to parents and
caregivers in need of a safe sleep environment for an infant. This helps support Safe Kids Southern Tier New York’s goal of keeping children safe and addressing unsafe sleep environments in which children may find themselves in.

If you know of a family that may benefit from this program, please have them apply online to receive safe sleep resources.
Certified Lab Instructor Course
The past two weekends, our phenomenal EMS education instructors took the time out of their busy schedules to teach a Certified Lab Instructor (CLI) course. I would like to thank Mickey Forness, Todd Reisner, Phil Wilson, Tim Richardson and Rob Pritchard for instructing this highly requested course. Attendees of this course were providers of all three counties who are working toward becoming EMS instructors. Over the next 18 months, candidates will work on internships which is the next step toward certification as a NYS CLI. Courses such as these, are necessary to ensure the future of quality EMS education in the Southwestern Region.
