Dear Members and Friends;
 We will be holding a Spiritualist Message Service on Monday, October 21 at 7pm, co-conducted by Rev. Susan West and Rev. Nilsa Ocasio, with assistance from our gifted mediums and our friends in Spirit.
Autumn has arrived with a crisp new feeling in the air! As the leaves begin “changing” to the beautiful orange, red, and yellow colors, this is the time we can reflect upon what “changes” we would like to make in our life.
As the leaves continue to change, and “release” themselves from the trees, this our opportunity to “release” old habits so we can make room for the changes to occur in our lives.
Please join Rev. Susan West in a discussion about reflection, change, and renewal.
Messages from Spirit will be given from the platform during this church meeting by Rev. Ocasio, Rev. Janet Hariton, and Rev. Renee Rossi.
Giving and receiving messages from Spirit are always highlights of any service at the Spiritualist Church of NYC. Our certified mediums will communicate with spirits from the other side and bring uplifting messages to our congregation. While we can't guarantee that everyone who attends will receive a message, being there with us increases your odds!
Rev. Susan West is a Certified Intuitive Consultant, Psychic Medium, Reiki Practitioner, Ordained Minister, and native New Yorker. Susan's work ranges from helping people with love and relationships, family, personal growth, career, talent development, and speaking with spirit guides, angels, and loved ones who are on the other side.
Rev. Nilsa Ocasio is an ordained Spiritualist minister and a founding member of SCNYC. She studied with and is a member of Holistic Studies Institute. Nilsa is a Reiki master, a certified intuitive consultant and a séance conductor, often conducting seances with the Spiritualist Church of NYC.
This service will include an interactive meet & greet, healing prayer for those present and absent, guided meditation, spirit messages and more. We look forward to seeing you!

Halloween Psychic & Healing Fair
|
As Halloween approaches, and the veil between worlds begins to thin, join us at the Halloween Psychic & Healing Fair, sponsored by the Spiritualist Church of NYC! Our fair this year will be held on Saturday, October 26, from 1:00 PM to 5:30 PM in the church chapel and parlor (live ticket sales will begin at 12:30 PM).
Pre-order tickets on Eventbrite until October 24!
Our talented psychic-mediums and healers will be offering 20-minute sessions for $40 a session. You can even take advantage of our package deal, of any 3 services for $100, a savings of 50% off your third service. Receive an energy healing or get insight into relationships, career, family, and more! Tarot readers and astrologers will be offering their services as well, so prepare to spend a day discovering more about yourself and the unseen world around you.
At 4:00 PM, a seance will be held in the parlor, conducted by church President Rev. Janet Hariton and Avril Brenig. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at the door or ahead of time on Eventbrite. Raffle tickets for an hour-long reading with internationally known medium Rev. Stephen Robinson will be on sale at the event and on Eventbrite as well, $10 per ticket or 5 for $40.

As you may have noticed, our website has undergone a bit of a transformation. The board discussed the matter and we felt that the old website could use some updates. For instance, we moved two years ago but the site photos didn't really reflect that. Unfortunately, while our site is being rebuilt, the old site had to go down. We'll be back up soon, so stay tuned! There will be an announcement in an upcoming newsletter when the new site goes live. In the meantime, please check our Facebook page and these newsletters for news of upcoming services and psychic fairs.

OUR MONDAY SERVICE & MESSAGE CIRCLE

Our Church Service will be led by Ordained Spiritualist Ministers and/or board-approved Advanced Seminary Students from Holistic Studies Institute of New York. Each of our service is unique with a theme: please refer to upcoming newsletters for more details.

MESSAGE CIRCLE (OPEN SEANCE): 8:05 - 9:10PM (Approximately)
Following the fellowship break, we will hold a Message Circle, which is open to the public. The circle is held in our church sanctuary, where chairs are arranged in a circle. Each week, one or two of our Certified Seance Conductors will lead the circle giving messages to you from those who have crossed over.
In these circles we will learn how to expand our consciousness beyond the physical world to encompass an awareness of the Spirit World and Spirit People. We receive messages, impressions and communication from our spirit loved-ones and friends. If you believe that life goes on, that there is another dimension and that given the right conditions one may receive information from that special place, then our Open Seance is just the right place for you.
The cost for the Message Circle is $20 a person, cash only, collected by the Message Circle conductors. Please also note: we may cancel the circle without notice if the number of attendees is less than 4 people.
Our Message Circle this service will be conducted by Rev. Jennifer Lerman and Rev. Nikenya Hall.
Rev. Jennifer Lerman is a certified Psychic-Medium, Intuitive Consultant, Seance Conductor, Usui Reiki Master, PSYCH-K® Facilitator, and Ordained Spiritualist Minister. She is passionate about empowering people on their spiritual journeys, delivering messages of healing and hope, and providing clarity to help others realize their full potential. Jennifer also currently serves as Treasurer of the Spiritualist Church of NYC.
 Rev. Nikenya Hall is the founder and CEO of Achieving Balance Counseling & Holistic Center, LLC, Ms. Hall pulls from a combined twenty years of professional mental health and intuitive work experience. She is a Mental Health Counselor, Certified Intuitive Healer, Psychic Medium, author and public speaker who possess her Masters of Human Relations from the University of Oklahoma. As a Professional Healer, Ms. Hall’s combines modalities such as CBT, DBT, harm reduction and motivational interviewing with mindfulness, visualization and meditative techniques to bring her client’s mind and body back to a state of balance. She has been featured in The New Yorker, Manhattan Times, and Madam Noire.
