Chris Noël Band and newly released CD “Blues Shouter”

Chris has had a long and interesting career doing what makes him happiest and that is simply singing and playing swing and blues.

Now that Chris calls Vancouver Island home, it's time to introduce him to anyone who hasn't already had the pleasure of enjoying what he and his band do so well.

Chris Noël and his Band are reminiscent of the jump blues bands from the 40's and keep up the legacy of notable Blues Characters of the early - mid 20th century, making it impossible for most of us to stay off the dance floor.

BEST SELF PRODUCED BLUES CD
Blues Foundation Annual Competition

Victoria Blues Society had four CD’s submitted for the 2019 Best Self Produced CD competition. A panel of four independent judges reviewed the CD’s. The judges scoring mirrors the criteria used by the Blues Foundation. The scores have been tallied and were very close. Based on the highest total points awarded the CD that won is Chris Noel's "Blues Shouter". Chris's CD has been submitted by the Victoria Blues Society to the Blues Foundation for consideration in their competition. The finalists will be announced prior to International Blues Challenge  with the winner revealed during the IBC Finals on Saturday, February 1, 2020. Vancouver Island has many excellent blues artists as reflected by the caliber of the CD’s submitted. Kudos and thank you goes out to each participant.   - from the Victoria Blues Society newsletter
