| Tossing Tinsel on the Tree|
|FROM WILMA: Bill and I were comparing childhood memories of decorating Christmas trees. One of his is that of being told, “don’t just throw the icicles (tinsel) on the tree - place them neatly”. Mine is that of my grandmother cringing as I “helped” hang fragile glass ornaments - I would love to have some of those ornaments today! |
Whether hung haphazardly by excited children or placed meticulously by adults, ornaments help kick-start the holiday spirit. Ornaments can remind us of someone special, places traveled, children’s “handiwork”, nature, and some are heirlooms while others are just pretty.
The Garden Shop has an interesting and inspiring array of ornaments ranging from whimsical to elegant. I plan to add a few to my collection as well as select some for gifts.

Do you have a tradition of adding a special ornament to your collection every year? Or gifting ornaments to friends, family, nieces and nephews?
We love to write the recipients name, the year, and the giver's name on the ornament, treating it like a keepsake - use a thin sharpie in an inconspicuous spot.
Explore our Garden Shop for a beautiful ornament selection!
