 FROM WILMA: Some of you completed your holiday shopping some time ago while others, like me, have procrastinated. Today I took my Christmas list and browsed through the Gift Shop and found something for most everyone. Pretty ornaments,  pet-related items, cute children’s toys/books, gardening and nature goodies, and a succulent garden were a few of the gifts I found for friends and relatives. Gift cards make great gifts, too.
The forecast for next week is fairly pleasant (no white  Christmas). In the hustle and bustle of the holidays, hiking, walking around the block, or strolling through a garden can be a health boost. Many trees and shrubs can be planted year-round and I have my eye on a couple of hardy evergreens I plan to add to my garden soon.
