Rural Communities' Opioid Response Program
We are excited to report that Appalachia Substance Use Disorder and Mental Health Service Coalition Rural Communities' Opioid Response Program (RCORP) planning grant has made great strides over the last several months. This project involves several agencies within Cattaraugus and Allegany counties working together on an environmental scan, which would reflect those factors and conditions that could impact the types of services/programs we could provide. To allow us to move towards the selection of coalition priority areas. Mike Prutsman, Executive Director of the Council on Addiction Recovery Services, Inc., has guided the team over the last six months to ensure we draft a strong strategic plan for RCORP per the grant requirements. I want to thank all those who have helped with this important project.
Happy New Year!
Another year is nearly in the books. This last year at STHCS we celebrated our 25th anniversary. We continued the steady growth of our programs and engaged in some self study for the future. I’m also very happy to report that we’ve built upon our great tradition of collaboration to improve health outcomes in our rural communities. As our motto goes: “We’re Better Together.”
I hope 2019 was just as productive at your organizations! Let’s take this time to ring in the New Year with our families and enter 2020 with a refreshed focus on our missions to the great people we serve.
