We Love Pets, Just Like You..
Happy February!

Happy February!

Love is in the air! Why do we wait to show our love on special days like Valentines valentines day petsday? When we can share love daily. With family, friends, coworkers, neighbors and even strangers. It's as simple as sharing a smile, a kind word, a friendly gesture, an anonymous gift to someone in need (or not in need, just because). Now more than ever we need to choose love.

With the current political climate, many people are finding it difficult to connect with others or have a conversation without emotions flaring.

It's important to remember, we do not need to agree in order to choose love, empathy, compassion and understanding. We need only to choose kindness and civility above all else. Trust me, you'll feel great when you do!

If all else fails, ask how you can be of help.
Great opportunities to help others seldom come, but small ones surround us everyday. - Sally Koch

Please remember and spread the word...

Our Good Dog! Coaching & Pet Care family of pet care givers is here to help however we can. We are taking extra steps to keep our clients, their pets and our sitters safe. Hand washing before, during and after each visit. Hand sanitizing frequently and mask wearing where needed.

Now more than ever, small businesses need the help of our community to get through this because no one ever expected it would go on this long. Many businesses have closed. We are one of the lucky ones. So far we have been able to hang in there. To learn more watch this video...

We are expanding our team of Professional Pet Sitters so we can continue to serve and be available when needed. So if you or someone has a passion for pets AND people, has a strong work ethic and team spirit, someone who would LOVE to earn income doing something they LOVE (maybe it's you?!) please send them our way by having them fill out our online pre-application... click here https://gooddogcoaching.com/career-opportunities/ to start.

We are also looking to add to our dog training team. Who do you know that has a passion for dogs, people and learning. Someone who is willing to work with all types of dogs big and small and possesses an obsessive work ethic and positive mental attitude. Please send them our way by having them click this link... https://gooddogcoaching.com/dog-training-career-opportunities/

Wishing you all stay healthy and take this time to reconnect with family and friends and tell them that you love them.

Good Dog! Spotlight: Pet of the Month

Fendi & Chanel

Welcome to the Good Dog! Family of pets Fendi & Chanel!Frenchie pups

One of our most recent newcomers, Fendi (with blue french bulldog puppieseyes) & Chanel are feisty Frenchie Pups (French Bulldogs). These two pups literally came from France! They are 7 months old and partners in crime (says their pet sitter Joni :P) and always on the move.
These two have enjoyed our private boarding accommodations with Joni, one of our long time Private Boarding Pet Sitters. They enjoyed the comfort of living with Joni 24/7 while their owners were
frenchie puppies
out of town, and you can bet these two were pampered and loved while their owners traveled. They got to run, play, snuggle and at the
frenchie puppies
end of the day they were two pooped pups.
If you have travel plans and need loving care, whether you prefer our sitters to visit your home to care for your pets or you would prefer to board your dog, give us a call. We'd love to help!

WHAT IS A BOARD & TRAIN HYBRID PROGRAM?

With our BOARD & TRAIN HYBRID Programs, the dog you have today, doesn’t have to be the dog you have tomorrow.

Happier owners and happier dogs!board and train
You AND your dog will be better educated and HAPPIER!

WELCOME TO BOARD & TRAIN HYBRID BY GOOD DOG! COACHING & PET CARE

Most Board & Train programs give little follow up care to the
owner. It’s all about the time spent with the dog while it’s boarding. While this is great for the dog, what is the owner
learning? This philosophy makes it very difficult for the dog and their owners to succeed in the long run.

board and train

You see, dog trainers can train dogs. That’s a given. But, in the long run the dog lives with the owner so, the owner needs to learn how to maintain what was taught to the dog in the first place. The owner needs training as much as the dog does! An hour or two at the training facility when they pick up their dog isn’t going to cut it. Not remotely. When the dog goes home, the owners are ill equipped for the flashback that the dog will most assuredly experience. At Good Dog! Coaching & Pet Care we give you more, much more. HYBRID IS A COMBINATION OF BOARD & TRAIN AND ONE ON ONE TRAINING WITH THE OWNERS.

New Year, New Dog

New Year, New Dognew year new dog obedience training

A dog can learn new things at any age. If you’ve been living with a dog that has less than desirable behaviors, there’s no time like the present to make a change. It’s a new year, new dog!

Obedience training can change your dog’s behavior dramatically. Start with simple commands like sit or down. Teach your dog one new command every couple of weeks. Start with a simple sit command, then add walking nicely on leash (no pulling) etc. Make sure to have a leash on your dog so that you have control when needed and can guide your dog into position.
Teach the commands with an implied stay. The sit command for example, doesn’t just mean to sit down for a moment it means to sit and keep sitting until you release the dog. No need to even say stay. READ MORE
