Over the past two months, while schools have not been in session due to COVID-19, our Safe Kids Southern Tier New York program has been working to ensure children are engaged and continue to receive injury-prevention messaging. In addition to the Kids Stay-At-Home activities and Kids Safe-At-Home resources available on our website, we have been hosting a Health Care Heroes Poster Contest. The contest was open to students from Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, and Allegany Counties to support our healthcare workers on the front lines. I am happy to report that we had 29 entries from across all three counties, and the winner was kindergartner, Hattie C., from Frewsburg Central School, selected by random drawing!
