Check out our Certified Pollinator Garden for inspiration.

New shipment just arrived! 10% off thru Tuesday, June 30. Excludes vines and shrubs.
Water Gardens Are Lively!
Water is an essential element that attracts life to your garden. A water lily added to a water-filled bowl makes a stunning  garden in just a few minutes. More elaborate gardens can include moving water, fish, and a diversity of water plants.

We have a beautiful selection of Hardy and Tropical Water Lilies and Hardy Lotus plants. We also have lovely glazed ceramic bowls for creating simple water gardens.

We just received fish too - butterfly koi, comets, sarasa comets, and bullfrog tadpoles. Check it out!
Summer Watering
Container gardens and hanging baskets, whether decorative or edible, dry out quickly in hot weather. Adequate water helps keep your plants happy and healthy, and less susceptible to damage from insects and disease. Hanging baskets may need watering twice a day this time of year.

In the summertime. keep your eye on anything planted in a pot - even during rainy spells - and water regularly.
 Walk About with Wilma
FROM WILMA:
Every couple of days I take a “walk about” throughout the Garden Center property. With plants and other garden items  arriving every day or so there is almost always something new to see. Matt James  brought a truckload of great-looking perennials down from our farm this afternoon.  New shipments of houseplants and herbs are here, too.

Pollination Celebration Month/Week is officially coming to an end but we will unofficially keep celebrating. There is an impressive display of pollinator plants including natives in the perennial department. On my walk this morning, I observed several native trees
and shrubs in stock. One of these is spicebush (Lindera) which is the host plant for spicebush swallowtail
butterfly. There are displays of bee and butterfly houses as well as many other pollinating-related items in the Garden Shop.

There are a few more days to take advantage of our 10% off Perennial Plant Sale - now  through June 30th!
