Talk Saves Lives
In partnership with Ardent Solutions, we were able to host two sessions of the online webinar "Talk Saves Lives" last week. Ardent Solutions' Community Education Specialist,  Brent Tincher, and our Program Coordinator, Jordan Taylor, were able to facilitate this brief introduction to suicide prevention to several local EMS providers, virtually. This presentation covers the general scope of suicide, the research on prevention and what people can do to fight suicide.

Talk Saves Lives is a program of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. We are currently looking to schedule more virtual sessions of this presentation. If you or someone you know is interested in attending the presentation, please email Jordan at prevention@sthcs.org.
CAReS Leadership Meeting
This past week, we were able to partner with The Council on Addiction Recovery Services (CAReS) to host their leadership meeting in our training center. We were able to provide an environment that adheres to social distancing guidelines while ensuring the productivity of his staff at this meeting.

When we renovated and moved our offices into the old Sears building in downtown Olean, it was our vision to open the building to support other community programs. It is great to see our training center being utilized. If your organization is interested in utilizing our training space, please visit our website by clicking here or contact us at 716-372-0614.
