Due to increased accidents, traumas, and surgeries – our hospitals currently have a greater need for blood products than they have since before COVID-19. Additionally, since the outbreak of COVID-19, there have been severe blood shortages in the Southern Tier and throughout New York over concerns that it might not be safe to go to blood donation centers. Giving blood is safe.
We have been hosting bi-monthly drives, and ConnectLife has implemented precautions to minimize the number that gives at one time to ensure the safety of donors and staff members, including requiring donors to make an appointment.
ConnectLife currently has less than a 3 day supply of critical blood types and needs your help to stock the shelves at our hospitals. Please take the time to give. To make an appointment to donate, please click here.
