January 2021
A New Dawn, A New Day
Good news!
2021 is here and a vaccine is on the way.
There is light at the end of the tunnel.
How wonderful to feel hopeful again!
We’ve begun to accept touring engagements for the Fall, and hope to see you then if not sooner. We can’t wait to reconnect with you and get back to the important work of making and appreciating live music.
In the meantime, please continue to support the online activities that sustain us. How you can help:
Lessons — If you or someone you know would like to improve their jazz skills, I teach private lessons from my home studio via video conferencing. More Info
Workshops — For college and high school music teachers, I offer interactive distance learning workshops on a variety of topics through a combination of live demonstration, discussion, and multimedia screen sharing (audio, video, slides). More Info
Livestreams — Enjoy a virtual solo show, broadcast live from our home to yours. Tickets are now available for Quarantunes 8: My Funny Quarantyne on Valentines Day, Sunday, February 14. Join us! More Info
Recordings — Get your digital download of The Dmitri Matheny Collection, the complete library of my recorded works as a bandleader! 11 albums, 125 songs More Info
Commissions — Celebrate a significant milestone, such as a birth, wedding, birthday or anniversary, by commissioning an original composition. The new work may be a simple song or a large orchestration, premiered in your honor, or given as a gift to someone of your choosing. More Info

Thank you very much.
If there’s any “silver lining” to this pandemic, it’s in the myriad ways we demonstrate kindness and concern for one another during times of crisis.
Even as we self-isolate and practice social distancing, let’s do our best to take care of each other and use technology to check-in with friends and neighbors.
Wishing you all good health and well-being in the new year.
We’re all in this together!
