SAFE Program Support
I am pleased to report that funding has been received through Connecting Communities in Action as a part of their Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) Victim and Witness Assistance Grant Program. We will be able to provide a stipend to SAFE Providers for completing on-call time each month. Additionally, we will provide each provider with a one-year membership to the International Association of Forensic Nurses. Thank you to Mason Maynard of CCA for working on this with me and making this opportunity possible. We are excited for this new partnership and the support we are receiving for our SAFE program.

We also were able to work with a Catchafire volunteer, Christine Krus, and her graphic design students at Seton Hall University, Dillon Ventura and Emily Wise, to help us redesign our logo for the SAFE program. We are grateful for Christine, Dillon, and Emily's help and are looking forward to using our new logo!
Support from HFWCNY
I'd like to thank the Health Foundation for Western & Central New York for their recent gift to thank their grantees for our valuable work throughout the COVID-19 crisis. This gift is to help each organization's employees deal with the high level of stress we are all experiencing during this time. It is their hope that the funds will provide resources to help promote the well-being of staff during this time. This thoughtful gift from HFWCNY is greatly appreciated by all of the staff at Southern Tier Health Care System and we are grateful for the recognition!
