Merry & Bright 2020 is a HUGE SUCCESS!
THANK YOU to everyone who supported our Merry & Bright Holiday Gift Drive. Thanks to you, we've been able to purchase every item on every child's wish list! Without your generous support, our kids affected by HIV/AIDS would have to wake up to an empty tree this week.

We want to thank all of our generous local and out of state donors, especially the ladies of Biltmore Lake and WestField. One donor in particular, who wishes to remain anonymous, supplied each child with a warm new blanket. We continue to be humbled by the kindness and compassion of this community of WNCAP supporters!

Year In Review
Our 2020 Annual Report

Our 2020 Annual Report shows, in numbers, the incredible impact WNCAP volunteers and staff made on our community this past fiscal year. Check out the full report by clicking here or on the image above.

Here are some highlights of WNCAP's 2020 Annual Report:

$135,079 provided for rental, utility and other emergency assistance; that is a 51% increase, largely due to financial hardship caused by COVID-19.

38.9 tons of food and personal care items delivered to 169 people; a 62% increase in the number of clients requiring food assistance.

10,848 lifesaving overdose reversal kits distributed; a colossal 540% increase.

$93,770 provided for out-of-pocket prescription medication expenses.

1,796 free and confidential STI tests administered; that is a 29% decrease from last year, due to COVID restrictions preventing WNCAP from doing community outreach.

161,230 free condoms distributed throughout the community.

As you can see, the COVID-19 pandemic drastically increased demand for all WNCAP services, even as it prevented us from doing as much HIV Prevention work as we normally would. Unfortunately, we expect even higher demand this winter.

  • $25 is enough for a lifesaving overdose reversal kit.
  • $50 purchases 100 condoms to distribute throughout our community.
  • $100 can cover transportation costs to connect someone with critical medical care.
  • $500 provides a week of shelter for people living with HIV who have nowhere else to go in the middle of a pandemic.
Every dollar makes an impact. Your donation today will help keep a person living with HIV healthy, housed, and fed tomorrow. Thank you for your generosity ❤️
Happy Holidays!
WNCAP Offices Will Be Closed for the Holidays.
