 Midland Real Estate Trends

A strong housing market in 2020 is what few would have expected between the ongoing pandemic and a dramatic fall in oil prices, but the Midland market once again remained strong and outshined most in the country. As oil prices began to rise and interest rates remained low, the real estate market recovered quickly and finished strong. We ended the year with an average sales price of $343,928, which is virtually the same as $345,828 in 2019. There remains a very healthy inventory of 706 homes available in all price ranges. Interest rates on a 30-year loan remain in the 2.5% range, so now is an incredibly good time to purchase or sell a home.
