We have a new studio policy going into effect this month - we will charge a Drop In Fee ($20) if you sign up for an Indoor Class and do not show up without canceling one hour prior to class start. Right now we are limited to 9 only in studio by executive order and have a waiting list to those wanting to practice yoga and if you do not show up or unregister your spot it is taking away someone else's yoga practice.

FOR YOGA TEACHER TRAINING DIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIP
We have been working on various diversity & inclusion initiatives for years, the details of which we will be making much more transparent in our future. The first matter we wish to bring to light is our YTT Diversity Scholarship, which we began raising funds for back in February of this year. We have opened up this fund for our community to donate to at any time, will be offering regularly scheduled donations based classes to raise funds, and will also be providing a full scholarship in our upcoming training to one of our diversity scholarship applicants. Our goal in this effort is to continue to cultivate a more diverse and representative teaching population in our area. Let us know if you are interested in

WELL BEING DAY YOGA

Join us for Community Outdoor Yoga Class & Meditation practice these three days.  Times TBD OUTSIDE EVENT at 2000 Kraft Drive green space  
Limited to 25 in person outdoors.

HEAT IS ON IN STUDIO - HOT CLASSES WILL BE SET TO 85 & ALL OTHER INDOOR CLASSES 75

Limited to 9 with more than 10 ft. of social distancing between mats.

Between classes we will use our two exhaust fans and open windows for fresh air exchange. The exhaust fans pull fresh air from outside in for circulation and exhaust out the current air.

We will use our Radiant heat panels. Radiant heat is transmitted through electronic waves. When these waves are intercepted and absorbed they are converted into heat. The radiant energy is absorbed by objects in the room and warms the space similar to your clothes absorbing the light from the sun vs blowing heat in the room through vents similar to your home forced air unit.

Our software company, Mindbody, did a survey study with almost 20,000 respondents from the 50 largest cities ages 18 - 65 (Oct 16 and Nov 16, 2020)
When asked about COVID, consumers said yes they are struggling:

- 45% say that the pandemic has affected their weight

If you need to dedicate a space in a room versus the entire room, try to get the space around you as clean as you can so you are able to come back to that consistent space each day.
For either - simplify and declutter to make the space feel calming. Accent your space with plants or any meaningful object you would like such as a singing bowl and your favorite props. Make it feel clean and cleanse the space with fresh air, sage, vibrations from a singing bowl and sunlight. Turmeric: a thumb and a half worth 
Ginger: 2 - 3 thumbs worth 
Black Pepper: 1-2 Tsp, ground 
Lemon grass, Orange Peel, Licorice Root Mix: 2 Tablespoons worth 
 
Add to one large pot of water and bring to a simmer / boil. Let sit 20 min or more. Drink. A little sweetener is nice.
