 Last weekend, we participated in FeedMore WNY’s Spread the Love peanut butter drive. I had challenged the EMS providers in the region to get involved and donate peanut butter for this worthy cause. Thanks to the efforts of the EMS providers and local community members, we collected hundreds of jars of peanut butter.
FeedMore WNY held several drives throughout the weekend, and collectively, they received 6,997 pounds of food and raised $4,558.82 to benefit FeedMore WNY and Western New York neighbors in need.
Big thank you to Alicia, Toni, and Micheyla for coming out on Saturday to make the Spread the Love Drive a great success, and I am looking forward to next year!

Funding from the Mother Cabrini Health Foundation has allowed us to work with ALSTAR to host the Southern Tier EMT-B Academy. Over the past few months, we have been recruiting individuals to participate in this program that will start in July. We will train new EMS personnel to help bolster the EMS system in our catchment through this program. The Academy will be provided at no cost to students. The students will also receive a stipend during their training that will allow them to concentrate on their training program without working full-time.
