Anyone can participate - members, new students, teachers and staff - invite your friends & family to join you on this journey. |
Practice 50, 75, or 100 times between August 1 and December 31 to receive prizes.
Clubs, organizations, and Fraternity and Sorority Life at Virginia Tech can also participate. If your organization collectively practices 100 times in the next five months, your organization will receive a free private yoga class.
Sign up at the Main Street studio, the challenge begins on August 1st.
You will notice on the wall adjacent to the laundry room where you write your name on a close pin and we keep track of your practices.

FOR YOGA TEACHER TRAINING DIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIP
|We have been working on various diversity & inclusion initiatives for years, the details of which we will be making much more transparent in our future. The first matter we wish to bring to light is our YTT Diversity Scholarship, which we began raising funds for back in February of this year. We have opened up this fund for our community to donate to at any time, will be offering regularly scheduled donations based classes to raise funds, and will also be providing a full scholarship in our upcoming training to one of our diversity scholarship applicants. Our goal in this effort is to continue to cultivate a more diverse and representative teaching population in our area. Let us know if you are interested in|

THE ABCS OF YOGA
|IT’S BACK TO SCHOOL TIME|
As yoga practitioners in the West, we learn much about asana, the spine, the benefits of the physical practice to our cardiovascular, respiratory, & nervous systems. As we work to learn, integrate and share the benefits of our practice off the mat, from a spiritual heart – one of service – it can be helpful to review these simple “ABC’s” of the practice of yoga. You may wish to choose just one work to focus on in your meditation each week, or perhaps one in particular for the entire month.
