Fall Color - Trees, Shrubs, & Perennials!

Fall colors are brightening our landscapes already. This time of year can be just as beautiful and invigorating as spring. Many folks consider fall their absolute favorite time of year – with crisper days, bright blue skies, and the changing leaves.

Enhance this special season with plantings that delight and bring joy.

For trees consider red maples, sugar maples, Japanese maples, sourwoods, serviceberries, black gums, red oaks, and dogwoods.

Add another layer of color with shrubs like blueberries, oakleaf hydrangeas, itea (native substitute for burning bush), aronia, beautyberry, fothergilla, witch hazel, and spicebush.

Aside from their fall blooms, even perennials bring leaf color to the table – like the flaming yellow of amsonia, the striking foliage of many heathers, the yellow shades of Euphorbia ‘Ascot Rainbow’, and the fallish colors weaving through ‘Angelina’ sedum.
