 The Pottery Market
The Pottery Market, owned by Karen Enloe and based in Fletcher, NC, is one of our favorite wholesalers of quality pottery. They offer a curated collection of handmade pottery sourced in Asia. Karen works directly with the factories and producers on new designs, and travels to the factories to learn more about the techniques which have been used for thousands of years. We've seen fascinating videos of the Dragon Kilns in action - a very ancient process!
Over the last twenty years, the line has expanded to include all major categories of planters and containers including handmade earthenware pottery, smaller ceramics for houseplants, terra cotta from the Mekong Delta, and lighter-weight fiberclay containers.
 Dirtcraft Organics
Dirtcraft Organics (the Southeast's craft soil blender) is based in Marshall, NC and owned by Adam Schwartz and Sarah Murphy. Their family homestead is also the location of their production facility. They believe that a vibrant and healthy landscape starts with the life in the soil, and that healthy soil is key to solving the triple threat of climate change, biodiversity loss, and food insecurity.
Their small-batch soils focus on using sustainable and locally sourced ingredients, and many of their mixes are peat-free and OMRI Approved. Some Reems Creek Nursery staff recently had the pleasure of touring their facility and seeing Dirtcraft in action. Thanks so much for the tour Adam and Sarah!
