Are you looking for a landscaper?

Reems Creek Nursery is hosting a “Landscaper Meet & Greet” where nine local landscapers will be on hand to connect with area homeowners who need help with their landscape design, installation, and maintenance.

Customers will be able to personally talk with various landscapers, see pictures of some of their work, and even set up an appointment to meet with them.

The nine landscape companies that will be present include - Blackbird Landscapes, NewScapes Landscape Design, Little Ivy Landscapes, Acorn Lawn Care, Gardens of Eatin’ Landscaping, Greco Landscaping & Lawn Service, Urbina Landscaping, Nice Growing, and Healing Roots Design. Join us for this unique opportunity!

Free and open to the public.

Introducing . . . The King of Spades!
Can you dig it?!

Now in stock! A new line of heavy duty, landscaper-quality tools -  including two weights of long and D-handled spades, digging forks, featherweight picks, cutter mattocks, sod-lifters, and 3 sizes of great-for-grading Dura Rakes.

The King of Spades are constructed of aircraft-quality steel. They are super strong, rust resistant, smooth and the perfect weight. Their long tapered cutting edge resists dents and nicks from hard digging conditions.

Tired of broken tools? Love quality? Landscapers and gardeners - you need these! Or, gift them to your favorite gardener/landscaper for Valentine’s Day!
Around the Garden Center
Hellebore Heaven!
Over 100 new Lenten Roses just arrived - that's ten different varieties, plus more already on the tables. Many are in bloom! Lenten Rose is a favorite evergreen perennial with long-lasting flowers that bloom during late winter/early spring. Plant them in part shade in well-drained soil and enjoy.

We also received other early bloomers like primrose, candytuft, dianthus and more.

Tiny Tropicals!
New shipment of tiny plants in fairy size pots - lush ferns, color foliage, succulents, cacti, carnivorous plants, strings, and more. They're the perfect size (mostly in 2" pots) for desktops, dorm windowsills, terrariums, pre-bonsais and all the Valentines on your list!

Blueberries
Fresh from our Propagation Farm, the first crop of blueberries has arrived in 1 gallon and 3 gallon sizes!

They're delicious. They're packed with antioxidants for good health. Kids love them. Yummy up your yard - plant some blueberries!

For best fruit production, plant blueberries in full sun in moist, well-drained acidic soil. You'll need two different cultivars for pollination and fruit set (for instance an 'Jersey' and a 'Duke'). Along with fruit, blueberries provide 4-season interest with flowers in spring, fruit in summer, great fall color, and red stems over winter.

In stock now: Chandler, Blue Crop, Toro, Spartan, Jersey, Blue Ray, Duke, St. Cloud, and Superior. Ask us to email you a free Blueberry Garden Guide at checkout.

Backroom News
Our receiving department is overwhelmed with unpacking a huge variety of boxes for the coming season. Keep your eyes peeled for fun new spring merchandise.

Think of February as Pre-Spring!
FROM WILMA: Some of you have expressed concern about foliage of daffodils and other spring-flowering bulbs emerging now. The foliage is usually not damaged by cold weather. ‘February Gold’ is an early-flowering daffodil and it is not unusual for it, as well as crocus, to flower at this time. I saw several of these in bloom a few days ago.

February is the shortest month but one of the most jam-packed. Many events take place during the month and there are lots of observances like Black History Month, National Bird Feeding Month, Love Your Library Month, and Presidents Day. February 5th is National Weather Forecaster’s Day. Weather is one of the most important factors in our business and we spend lots of time monitoring forecasts.

While February may bring some days of wintry weather, I like to think of it as a pre-spring month. The greenhouses on our Farm are beginning to fill with veggie seedlings, transplanted perennials, geraniums, and other pretties. Shipments of trees, fruit plants, and shrubs will be arriving at the Garden Center soon.
