Big Fruit Tree & Berry Shipment!
Spring has Sprung - Fruit Trees have Arrived!
We are so excited that our big spring fruit shipment has arrived! We received two big orders this week and two more are expected next week. Last year we sold out of fruit trees quickly, so don't delay!
Pick fruit right from your own yard - plant an edible paradise that the whole family will love!
Shop for a variety of fruit trees, berries, and edibles - including Apple, Cherry, Plum, Pear, Asian Pear, Persimmon, Mulberry, Pawpaw, Aronia, Grapes, thornless Blackberry, Yellow and Red Raspberry, Kiwi, Tea Camellia, Goji Berry, Hazelnut, and English Walnut.
Check our online fruit inventory here (look for those marked "In stock" or "New arrival") and check out our Spring 2023 Fruit list here.
Great fruit selection right now - shop soon!
Dreaming about blueberry cobbler and apple pie!

Two Big Pottery Shipments!
We're busy unpacking two huge pottery orders - including some beauties from Pottery Market! Our pottery shed is filling up with new indoor pottery, and the pallets outside are full of showy pots in a variety of sizes, shapes, and colors.
Great pots set everything off beautifully - in your entryway, on your deck, sprinkled throughout your indoor plants, or as a special focal point in your garden. That pop of color and style kicks everything up a notch.
Pottery Market's line of outdoor pots are frost resistant, and staff reports that their pots at home have held up wonderfully!
Don't forget your pot feet. They increase air flow, water drainage, and help protect the pot and the deck floor.
Plus, we still have lots of pallets of pottery to unpack!
Culinary Herbs
Grow your own culinary herbs! Instead of running to the grocery store while you are cooking dinner - step out into your yard to harvest your own homegrown herbs. Did you know that along with being delicious, herbs are packed with anti-oxidants? Herbs can take your meals from a so-so 5 to a scrumptious 10 on the yumminess scale.
Shop for rosemary, lavender, spearmint, peppermint, English thyme, parsley, and Italian oregano - and more on the way!
Seed Potatoes & Onion Sets
Have you ever eaten a freshly dug potato? They are SO tasty and full of earthy flavor! You definitely want to plant some potatoes this year.
We have a delicious mix of organic and conventional choices:
  • Kennebec - a mountain favorite with brown skin/white flesh
  • Yukon Gold - a staff favorite with tan skin/yellow flesh
  • Red Norland - early potato with red skin/white flesh
  • Huckleberry Gold - a low glycemic potato with purple skin/yellow flesh
  • Gold Nugget - deep gold skin/yellow flesh
  • California White - tan skin/yellow flesh
  • All Blue - deep blue skin/blue flesh
  • Banana Fingerling - tan skin/dark yellow flesh
  • French Fingerling - rosy red skin/yellow flesh
Yellow, White, and Red Onion Sets are also in stock and ready for planting!
Cold Front Coming to WNC
In Weaverville, we're expecting lows around 20 degrees on Friday with wind gusts up to 35 mph in the afternoon. On Saturday, a low of 27 degrees is predicted. It will be slightly warmer in Asheville, but still in the 20's.
If you have plants with tender new growth, you will want to protect them - whether that is vegetables or ornamentals. We've already seen some forsythia flowering and it is a great idea to give your Bigleaf hydrangeas (Hydrangea macrophylla) a little extra bud protection too. We have floating row cover in stock. You can also use sheets or light blankets, but don't use plastic coverings as they can burn the plant.

Be a citizen-scientist!
Starting today, join the global Great Backyard Bird Count from Fri. Feb. 17 to Tues. Feb. 21 to help collect data on wild birds and see the results displayed in nearly real time. Originally launched in 1998, The Cornell Lab of Ornithology, the National Audubon Society, and Birds Canada collaborate for the Bird Count every year.
