New Native Shrubs & Perennials
|
New native plants arrived in multiple deliveries including some of our favorite shrubs and perennials. A few of the trees/shrubs include - Aronia, nice fat Beautyberry, Fringe Tree, Fothergilla, Inkberry Holly including 'Gem Box', Redbud, Magnolia, Winterberry Holly, Black Gum (great fall color) and Ninebark. Some of the new native perennials include feathery Goat’s Beard, Asters, Echinacea, ‘Jeana’ Phlox (loved by pollinators), Butterfly Weed (Monarch butterfly host plant), Cardinal Flower, Stokes Aster, Yarrow, Blanket Flower, Foam Flower, Ironweed, Black-Eyed Susan and more!
Native plants have super powers - they support native wildlife including pollinators, birds, and mammals.

This week we brought in fresh shipments of pretty shrubs, magnolias, crape myrtles, and redbuds from a great new vendor, plus a nice collection of perennials from both our Propagation Farm and from elsewhere - including butterfly weed (for the Monarchs).
