YIN YOGA TEACHER TRAINING AND WORKSHOP STUDY WITH LISA
|
Yin Yoga Teacher Training & Workshops with Lisa Pélanne November 3-4, 2023 9 CEUs
Yin Yoga invites us to slow down and receive the benefits of stillness and spaciousness by incorporating passively held postures and cultivating interoceptive awareness.
An integrative approach that incorporates techniques and principles from Hatha Yoga, Taoist Yoga, and Buddhist philosophy, Yin Yoga is intended to stimulate the energy pathways of the body (meridians/nadis), gently stress and nurture the connective tissues, and quiet the mind to facilitate balance, harmony, and optimal well-being.
The three mini-workshops are offered a la carte or as a complete introductory study of Yin Yoga for practitioners and teachers interested in a deeper inquiry into this beneficial and impactful practice.
Mini-workshop: The Spirit of Yin Yoga Friday, 11/3, 4:30-7:30 pm
Experience an extended Yin Yoga practice including discussion of the principles, philosophy, and benefits of Yin Yoga, focusing on accessible and adaptive postures for all levels of experience.
Mini-workshop: The Roots of Yin Yoga Saturday, 11/4, 11:30 am-2:30 pm
The majority of Yin Yoga postures focus on the spine and lower body. This extended Yin Yoga practice will focus on the asana (postures) for spine, hips, legs, and feet and include discussion on the philosophy and benefits of being rooted in stillness.
Mini-workshop: The Heart of Yin Yoga Saturday, 11/4, 3:30-6:30 pm
This extended Yin Yoga practice will focus on yin postures for the upper body, pranayama (harnessing energy through breath awareness), meditation, and the neurological benefits of Yin Yoga.
Taken together, the three mini-workshops are intended to offer the practitioner a complete picture of the principles, philosophy, and practice of Yin Yoga, and offer yoga teachers a solid foundation to support their Yin Yoga teaching journey.
Each mini-workshop is offered a la carte for $75 per workshop or the complete Yin Yoga Workshop is offered for $216.
9 Yoga Alliance CEUs are available for yoga teachers taking the full workshop.
About Lisa: Yoga has supported Lisa for many decades, and she is humbled and grateful to share the teachings and practices of Yoga in support of all beings. Lisa has been teaching at In Balance Yoga since 2016 and facilitating Yoga Teacher Trainings since 2018. She is incredibly grateful to offer the teachings of the transformative practice of Yin Yoga.
