11/13: Scorpio New Moon:
Finding Solace in the Vibrant Heart of Darkness
As November unfolds in the northern hemisphere, we are moving into a season where the sky is often shrouded in clouds, and the Sun's radiant presence graces the sky above the horizon less and less. The month has begun with a powerful, energetic transformation. On November 4, Saturn, the taskmaster and wise elder, stood still and moved direct in the boundless ocean of the sign of Pisces, filled with dreams, aspirations, and creative pursuits. Just as the fog lifting reveals hidden landscapes, so does Saturn's steady hand, showing those with potential and supporting our capacity to bring them to life. You might look back at early March to reflect on your most cherished dreams and hopes and those that are beginning to take shape.

The first new Moon of the month on November 13 marks the closure of the eclipse period. Sun and Moon will meet at 22 degrees of intense, mysterious, and transformative Scorpio joined by a powerful Mars at 23 Scorpio. This powerful, incisive trio opposes Uranus at 21 of Taurus, setting the stage for the unexpected, the swift, and the out-of-the-ordinary experiences.

Picture the quality of time of these days as intense; it beckons us to delve deep into the very essence of a matter, into the deepest depths of our being, with the precision of a surgeon. Like the wind that blows and wipes the air clear, preconceived notions and beliefs might be swept away, and new horizons open up.
Confronted with the unforeseen, this lunation invites us to take a moment to notice the emotions and sensations that arise in our bodies - fear, excitement, tension, relaxation, and a blend of these. As the Northern Hemisphere tiptoes towards winter's embrace, this lunation invites us to turn our gaze inward. It's a time to discern what holds true value, what carries the weight of necessity, and what feels essential to us. Just as trees slowly let leaves fall, the time is apt to ask ourselves: from where might we withdraw our effort, redirect our energies, and sharpen our focus? Let this inquiry simmer within as the debris of the past slowly leaves space for inner transformation.

In this season of Fall-en leaves, as darkness envelops us, the Scorpio Moon invites us to find solace in the profound. The time is right to give ourselves moments to embrace the nuances of sadness and grief and the comforting weight of our own tiredness. As nature cloaks itself in sleep, we might find comfort in the warm glow of a candle to illuminate our evenings and in the nourishment of squashes and pumpkins that abound. As nature falls into lethargy, it gives us long-lasting and abundant sources of food, so we might ask ourselves: what nourishment are we offering to our own souls?

While tending to our inner journeys, the presence of Uranus and Mars also suggests moments of potential volatility and impulsive energy, especially for those with planets and points close to 19 to 23 of the fixed signs (Scorpio, Taurus, Leo, and Aquarius). Should you find yourself racing against the clock, consider slowing your pace; if anger shakes you within, give yourself the anchor of a deep breath to cool the flames. If unexpected occurrences disrupt your days, feel the weight of your body firmly rooted on the ground and invite a steady, energetic presence to guide you forward.

Sun, Moon, and Mars, as well as Uranus, will be in a harmonious trine with Neptune. This configuration is akin to an outlet for the erratic energy of these days. Depending on where it is in our chart, it might appear like the healing and benevolent presence of a supportive figure, whether embodied or spiritual. Or perhaps it is a practice, like engaging with music, a sacred place, a medicine, or a community that offers solace and helps channel this new moon energy.

11/ 27: Gemini Full Moon: Finding Words for Hope
As we venture closer to the luminous full Moon, we might begin to emerge from the heart of darkness of Scorpio into the glow of the burning embers of the fire of Sagittarius, ignited by the debris of our past. The shifts unfold with the Sun moving into Sagittarius on the 23, where Mercury has already been since the 11. And on the 25, Mars follows suit. Then, on the 27, the full moon light bathes the long night with a silver glow. During these moonlit hours, especially if you live in an area of low artificial light, the time is right to tune into our senses and into the curious energy constellated by the Gemini Moon.

This full Moon, like the previous one, is action-oriented, with Mars riding close to the Sun and standing in opposition to the Moon, in the two-mind, eclectic, and curious Gemini. A loose square to Saturn in Pisces adds a layer of depth to the energy, offering an opportunity for reflection and containment. As Sagittarius, the seeker, traveler, and explorer, emerges at the end of Fall, it marks a time of reflection and meaning-making that gives us hope and perspective for the new year. The Gemini moon gives us words to speak our stories and friendly ears to be listened to.

So, the time is right to ask and share some questions with ourselves and our community: What is our narrative for this past year? What fuels our inner fire, keeps our embers glow, and nurtures the beats of our hearts? In these trying times, where words often fall short in expressing the suffering of our planet and ours and other species, the Moon in Gemini invites us to breathe life into our hopes and give them a voice.

May this full Moon be the time when our aspirations are spoken for and reach the stars.
