It is almost time for the 3rd Waynesville Sunrise Rotary Turkey Trot 5K.  We are honored you have chosen to start your Thanksgiving holiday with us.  Below is information that will make your morning much easier and we ask you to read it thoroughly.
Packet Pickup
Wednesday, November 22 - 12:00-3:00 PM - Bosus Wine Shop (138 Miller Street, Waynesville)
You may pick up for other people but you must know their date of birth and sign for their packet.
Thursday, November 23 - 7:30-8:45 AM - Weldon Outdoor Gymnasium at Lake Junaluska
Race Start
The race will start at 9:00 AM SHARP at Weldon Outdoor Gymnasium. Look for the inflatable arch.
There is dedicated race parking at the Bethea Welcome Center, Center for Evangelism, York Dining Commons and the swimming pool on Melody Lane.  There is no parking at Weldon Gym.
For GPS, use the address 91 North Lakeshore Drive, Lake Junaluska.
Your race packet includes your race bib, which has a timing chip on the back.  Your bib must be worn on your front and be visible when you start and finish the race.  Your clock starts once you cross the timing pad at the start line and ends when you cross it at the finish.
The course will take you on a clock-wise course around Lake Junaluska.  All key intersections will have some combination of green on white direction signs and a volunteer pointing you in the correct direction.  Our directions are simple:  If someone or something doesn’t tell you to turn, don’t turn.
We ask all walkers stay to sidewalks whenever possible.
There will be a water station at the halfway point of the course.
There will be other walkers and runners on the roads and paths so please be courteous to others who may be enjoying the holiday morning.
We ordered the size you gave us during registration.  Because the race is sold out we will not be able to exchange sizes at packet pickup but may be able to exchange shirt after the race from those that did not pick up.
Post Race
After you finish, we will have bottled water, bananas and light snacks for you.  All finishers will also receive a pair of Bombas socks courtesy of ABCCM and Veterans Services of the Carolina.  You can pick up your socks at the back, right corner of Weldon Gym.
Turkey Tom will be there after the race for photos with you and/your family.  A donation of $5 is suggested with all proceeds going to the race beneficiaries.  Cash and cards accepted. 
We will conduct the awards ceremony at approximately 10:00 AM at Weldon Gym.  If you cannot stay for the awards, please have someone pick up yours as they won’t be mailed.
Live results will be available during the race HERE.  There will also be a QR code on your bib label you can scan to access them.
Official results will be posted to the Event Site later that day.
