Here is why you should join us in Boulder, Colorado.
September 6-9, 2024
It gives me great honor to share with you a special life-changing and beautiful ceremony around a fire I experienced first time at the Tucano tribe in the Rio Negro, near Manaus in Brazil, with Ipupiara, my teacher many years ago.
Let us dream our future into being.

Amazonian Guayusa Tree Dream Tea, also known as Night-Watchman Tea, is NOT a psychedelic tea but truly a rich plant medicine. However, it holds special spiritual significance for indigenous Amazonian cultures. They use it daily around the fire in rituals to promote mental clarity, connect with and share their dreams, and gain insights for spiritual exploration. Guayusa tea improves dream vividness and recall, potentially enhancing the ability to experience and control lucid dreams due to its stimulating effects on brain activity. Its relaxing properties can also reduce anxiety-related dreams. Hunters often take it before going out at night for alertness and sharpening night vision. It offers several health benefits. Rich in antioxidants, it helps combat oxidative stress and reduces the risk of chronic diseases. As a natural stimulant, Guayusa provides sustained energy, enhancing alertness and focus, while its mood-enhancing properties promote well-being and relaxation. It supports digestive health and aids overall digestion, and its bioactive compounds boost the immune system. It may help regulate blood sugar levels. Also, Guayusa can boost metabolism and support weight loss.

| The Equinox is a bi-annual solar event that is celebrated and revered in cultures around the world. Traditionally it is a time of harvest, of reaping the fruits of spring and summer, of celebrating and connecting to earth, ancestors and spirit and of giving thanks. As day and night are of equal length during Equinox, it also symbolises balance. It reminds us that in a world of duality we constantly have to strive to restore balance – between our light and our shadow sides, our feminine and our masculine parts, our desire for growth and our desire for stability, our individual needs and the needs of our communities, our taking from and giving back to the earth. In a time when imbalance is one of our great perils, restoring balance on an individual, communal and environmental level is a big part of Shamanic Healing.

| Hidden and painful traumas often force the psyche to suppress difficult feelings to carry on, but this takes its toll on the soul, the personal life choices and liveliness.
Traditional shamans view this “soul loss” - the fracturing and wounding of a person’s spirit due to trauma - as a leading cause of physical and psychological dysfunction. The often unconscious impulse to numb one’s feelings in such circumstances is the psyche’s survival strategy at that time. However, no more fitting to the current age and life’s experience.

 | Arley Payaguaje is only 24. So far, he has researched, seeded, planted, cultivated, and distributed over 10,000 Amazonian fruit-bearing trees to his Siekopai community around the Aguarico River territory. All grown on the fertile land surrounding his family's modest stilts wooden house. Encouraged, he plans on seeding and planting 15,000 more while researching ways to improve harvest production and even bring back native trees and heirloom seeds from other communities and Peru, their ancestral land.
Reforesting the Amazon with native fruit-bearing trees supports both sustainable economic development and the preservation of the forest's biodiversity. Supporting my Siekopai-Secoya friend Arley's project (see below) helps protect the Amazon and its ecosystem from the destructive impact of big corporations, and give them a chance of survival.
