In the Shamanic perspective, Soul Loss is understood as the result of an inner fragmentation caused by a traumatic experience or an intense shock to the mind and/or body. Part of the life force or essence disconnects from the body in an effort to preserve itself in the face of a situation that is too much to bear. This is why after a traumatic event (sudden or on-going) people feel lost, confused and disoriented. Left untreated, many begin experiencing symptoms of weakness, fatigue, depression, anxiety, and emptiness that manifest physically and psychologically.
This offering is an exploration into understanding how soul loss can occur, not just from a traumatic event but all the little ways we have been conditioned to give our power away.
We will study how the effects of soul loss play on our physical body, in our three centers, what to look out for, what to comprehend to begin work on resolving and healing the issue/s.
Once there is an understanding, a deep look within, we can proceed to do something about it! You will be guided in a meditation and a shamanic journey to gain clarity, a better understanding of yourself and your next steps.

 Jordan Deer Heart Ix Mazatl Ol-Si is the healer and medicine maker of Deer Heart Apothecary, based on Lenape land in Brooklyn, NY. As an initiated medicine woman, Jordan creates plant and stone medicine to heal on multidimensional levels. Her work draws upon her Yaqui, Toltec and Puerto Rican heritage and connection with the natural world. She is also a Reiki Master, a 13th Octave LaHoChi Master, and also practices Pranayama Breathwork, Shamanic journeywork and limpiezas, and Tarot as tools for soul transformation. Jordan is also a founding member of the MINKA Mystery School and has taught courses and facilitated healing work for humans all over the world for nearly a decade.

 Irma StarSpirit Turtle Woman is a Medicine Woman honoring the ways of her Maya & Taino ancestors and medicine elders. She is a Shamanic & Reiki Master, Certified Crystal Healer/ Teacher and a Toltec Dreamweaver. She uses sound healing, crystals, and works with the "poderios", (the powerful ones/elemental forces) to keep an open channel of communication to the Great Mystery and the universal cosmos.
