On the sacred night of the Winter Solstice, we gather in ceremony to learn—or to deepen our walking—with the Medicine Wheel. In the lineage of The Origin Teachings of the Delicate Lodge, the Medicine Wheel is a living map of awareness and relationship. It helps us return to balance, deepen inner clarity, and renew our sacred relationship with all of life.
The 20-Count Medicine Wheel introduces us to twenty sacred energies—the living intelligences that guide consciousness, community, evolution, and the cycles of creation. When we come into relationship with these energies, we begin to understand our patterns, harmonize our choices, and walk with life rather than against it. Through this collaboration, we create the new in our lives with intention, clarity, and beauty.
For this Winter Circle, we enter the West and Northwest of the Wheel—places of Mystery, stillness, deep listening, and the wisdom of completion. This ceremony opens a year-long journey that will continue through the seasons, each gathering aligned with one of the four great families of the Wheel.
In the West/Northwest, we will be guided into direct relationship with:
Sacred Grandmother Earth (2) – The Life birther/Manifesting, Great Nurturer, Mother of life
Sacred Planets (12) – rhythm, timing, cycles unfolding in your life
Sacred Great Spirit (20) – stillness, Mystery, origin of new creation
Sacred Cycle of Law (8) – sacred laws and patterns shaping your path and choices
Sacred Avatars (18) – Sacred evolutionary intelligence guiding next steps
Through shamanic journeys, reflection, and embodied presence, we will explore:
- What is completing and ready to be released
- What patterns are asking for understanding or closure
- What wisdom the past year has been offering
- What new dream is forming quietly beneath the surface
- How stillness becomes the fertile soil for renewal
This ceremony is simple, spacious, and welcoming—whether you are meeting the Medicine Wheel for the first time or returning to it as an old friend.

Elizabeth Alanis is a psychotherapist, shamanic healer, and founder of Love Into Wholeness™. She carries the ancient wisdom of the Medicine Wheel and is a devoted student of The Origin Teachings of the Delicate Lodge, mentored by Pele Rouge Chadima and FireHawk Hulin, co-founders of Timeless Earth Wisdom. She also walks the shamanic Path of Heart through her long apprenticeship with Irma Star Spirit Turtle Woman, who initiated her as a curandera.
Elizabeth’s specialty is restoring harmony in our relationship with ourselves and with all the sacred energies of Life—including our relationship with one another. Through the integration of psychotherapy, shamanic healing, and Earth Wisdom teachings, she guides individuals into greater balance, clarity, and soulful connection with the world around them.
