The Be Fully Alive Podcast
This, the final week of the orgasm series, we'll ask the most luminous question of all — what lies beyond orgasm? What opens when we tip beyond the experience of pleasure into the experience of the infinite?
The answer, it turns out, is embedded in every mystical tradition across every culture across every century. And now neuroscience is beginning to measure it.
This isn’t the end of the journey. It's where the journey begins.
This Week’s Episodes . . .
Monday · Orgasm as a Portal: The Concepts
In the Monday concepts episode, we step into territory beyond technique — beyond the body mechanics and into the mystical dimension of orgasm that humans have been touching for millennia. We explore the neuroscience of transcendence — discovering what actually happens in the brain when the boundaries of self dissolve, time stops and we feel held by something larger than ourselves. The default mode network quiets. The prefrontal cortex — our voice of judgment and self-monitoring — goes offline. And in that silence, something ancient and luminous becomes apparent.
We travel across traditions: Tantra and its teachings on sacred sexual energy as a path to samadhi; the Taoist cultivation of chi; Kabbalah’s vision of divine union through sanctified intimacy; the Christian mystic Teresa of Avila describing her spiritual ecstasies in unmistakably orgasmic language; and the Sufi longing for fana — annihilation in divine love. All of these traditions, across vastly different cultures and eras, arrive at the same understanding: that the erotic and the sacred are not separate.
We also look carefully at spiritual bypassing — the subtle ways we might reach for transcendence without doing the honest, embodied work that makes genuine transcendence possible. Real mystical experience requires safety, consent, clear communication, and integration. It is not above the body. It moves through it.
And finally — we explore how to make the mystical practical. Embodiment first. Safety and trust. Slowing down. Breath. Letting go of the goal. Ceremony and reverence. Integration. These are the conditions — not rules, an invitation — for the transcendent to appear.
Wednesday · A Ceremony of Orgasmic Transcendence: The Sacred Encounter Practice
In the Wednesday practice episode, you’ll experience one of the most beautiful ceremonies in the entire eight-week series — a ritual of sacred encounter with yourself, or with a partner. This is an episode to return to. To practice with. To build a relationship with over time.
The ceremony begins long before touch — with the intentional preparation of space and body, the engagement of all five senses, a ritual bath, the setting of an intention.
The ceremony moves through an opening invocation, a solo or partnered sacred encounter guided by curiosity rather than destination, then closes with ritual gratitude, integration time, and a formal closing that marks the return from sacred time to ordinary time.
The practice asks — what appears when we connect with our partner in sacred space? How does it feel to touch with reverence? To receive touch as an offering? Where do we go and what appears when we let go of expectations and preconceived ideas about what sex and intimacy should look like?
As the practice unfolds, you’ll discover transcendence reveals itself — effortlessly.
We have created the container and given ourselves permission to perceive transcendence as a living reality.
Experience The Practice . . .
At the edge of pleasure, beyond the familiar boundaries of self, there is a portal that reveals — a transcendent space . . . luminous, ancient, and unutterably real.
Monthly live practice sessions happen 11:45 am-12:45 pm Pacific Time, first Tuesday of every month. A chance to practice, ask questions, and meet other intrepid explorers on this quest to be fully alive.
Our March practice session is a invitation to experience for ourselves what every wisdom tradition on earth has always known and neuroscience is now beginning to measure — the erotic as a portal to the sacred.

Friday · What Happened To The Collective: The Real-Life Story
In the Friday real-life story episode, we reunite with the seven strangers who began meeting a year ago as part of an orgasm research study — Wallace and Beatrice, Claire and Luke, Maya, Yuki, Diana, and Marcus. Tonight is their final formal gathering, one year later.
What has changed? What has sustained?
Saturday morning sex — and meaning it. A decision to try to conceive, grounded in body trust that didn’t exist twelve months ago. A first partnership not shadowed by shame or disappearing. A woman healing from assault who is feeling pleasure again — not all the way, and it is more than enough. A man who moved from studying intimacy to living it.
At the closing circle, Marcus invites each person to offer one word that captures what the year has meant. What follows is one of the most moving moments in the entire series.
"Aliveness." "Truth." "Acceptance." "Voice." "Hope." "Presence." "Honesty." "Sacred."
And then, across the fourth wall, the same question lands with you — eight weeks exploring orgasm — sensing your body, expanding your range, discovering your language, working with your obstacles — what is the word that does its best to describe everything this exploration has meant to you?
"This is how I would die into the love I have for you — the way pieces of cloud
dissolve into sunlight."
— Rumi
We started this series with a question about orgasm. We end at the threshold of the infinite.
The orgasmic capacity we’ve been mapping — through interoception, range, conditions, communication, attunement, obstacle, and transcendence — has no end.
Our bodies change. Our nervous systems evolve. Places that were closed, open. Moments that were effortful become effortless. Intimacy deepens. And the mystical dimension, which was never separate from the physical, becomes our ground of being.
. . . and we're just beginning.
A Gift For New Listeners . . .
To celebrate the completion of the orgasm series — and welcome new listeners into the Be Fully Alive Podcast community — Week 1: What Is Orgasm is available free through March 1st.
Week 1 asks the question — what is orgasm? What is actually happening neurologically, physically, and energetically when we have this experience? The answers will blow your mind.
The Be Fully Alive Podcast: What Is Orgasm
You have access to three complete episodes. The concepts. The practice. The story. The full rhythm of the series, in one free week — a genuine, unhurried introduction to eight weeks of comprehensive exploration of orgasm, intimacy and connection.
If you know someone who is ready for this conversation — a friend, a partner, a community — please feel free to share the free link. The journey from Week 1 to Week 8, from “what is orgasm?” to “orgasm as a portal,” is one of the most transformative arcs we’ve ever explored together.
Next Week . . .
NeoTantra: A New Introduction The History, The Lineages, The Living Practice
Everything we’ve explored across these past eight weeks — the body, the breath, the pleasure, the portal — lives within a vast and ancient wisdom tradition. In our next series, we begin at the very beginning.
Before the sexual revolution of the 1960s. Before Osho. We'll explore the living tradition that existed even before the classical Tantric texts of the first millennium CE.
We begin in Neolithic villages stretching from Anatolia to the Indus Valley, where the earliest organized spiritual life on earth centered not on a sky god or a warrior deity, but on the Great Mother. Where the female body was understood as the very structure of the cosmos. Where sexuality was a central part of the sacred.
We travel through the sacred love poetry of ancient Sumer, where the goddess Inanna sang to her body with reverence. Through the temples of Egypt, where inner sanctuaries were adorned with erotic images. Through the Indus Valley origins of the Tantric tradition, and the Vedic understanding that kama — desire, erotic longing — is the very first movement of consciousness. The genesis of the cosmos.
And, we explore the Great Severance — a two thousand year period in which the body was judged as sinful and the sacred feminine was dismantled.
Twenty-seven thousand years of history. A split two thousand years in the making. And a practice that is, at its deepest level, an act of cultural reclamation.
"Tantra means to weave and to expand and to spread. The fabric of life can provide true and everlasting fulfillment only when all the threads are woven according to the pattern
designed by nature."
— Jay Chakradar
The new podcast series, filled with inspiration, practices and real-life stories, explores the history and evolution of thought that gave rise to the practice we call NeoTantra today.

The Be Fully Alive Podcast · LIVE Practice Session
At the edge of pleasure, beyond the familiar boundaries of self, there is a portal that reveals — a transcendent space that is luminous, ancient, and unutterably real.
Our March practice session is a invitation to experience for ourselves what every wisdom tradition on earth has always known and neuroscience is now beginning to measure — the erotic as a portal to the sacred.
March 3rd: Orgasm as a Portal: A Ceremony of Sacred Encounter The Be Fully Alive Podcast LIVE Practice Session Tuesday . February 3rd . 11:45-12:45 pm Pacific Time Via ZOOM . A Recording Will Be Available
Here's what we'll explore in this session . . .
-
A ceremony of sacred encounter — solo or partnered — navigated with curiosity, awe and wonder. We'll prepare our space and body with intention, engage all five senses, then move through an opening invocation into the practice itself.
-
The body as portal — harnessing breath, movement, and somatic awareness, we'll discover what becomes available when the thinking mind grows quiet and the intelligence of our feeling state takes over.
-
Integration and closing — a ritual return from sacred time to ordinary time, honoring what has been experienced and weaving it into the fabric of how we live.
-
A practice to return to — a practice to build a relationship with over time. To discover what appears on the other side of orgasm.
Practice makes - neural pathways. It's one thing to learn the concepts, and a completely different thing to dive into live practice together.
There's something magical that happens when we gather - the collective energy, the real-time guidance, those moments when breakthrough happens and we all witness it. I'll be sharing what I've discovered about the inner workings of the human body and spirit as we create a map for your own lived experience. This is the kind of intimate, transformational work we usually do in private sessions - and - I'm feeling inspired to create a way for us to explore together. Monthly live practice sessions happen 11:45 am-12:45 pm Pacific Time, first Tuesday of every month. A chance to practice, ask questions, and meet other intrepid explorers on this quest to be fully alive. If you're ready to move from understanding these concepts to actually living them in your body, I'd love to have you there. Monthly live practice sessions are included in The Be Fully Alive Podcast EMBODY and EVOLVE membership tiers.
See you there!
