Episode 306 . Beyond Technique: Life as NeoTantra
|
The Be Fully Alive Podcast
We are living descendants of both partnership and dominator cultures.
Survivors and thrivers.
In this, our final week of this 8-week series, we’ll trace the arc from Neolithic goddess cultures through Freud's recognition that sexual repression creates neurosis, to Reich's discovery of body armor, to the 1960s reclamation of pleasure as sovereignty.
Rediscovering the aliveness, the arousal and the love made apparent when we tend, rather than pursue, desire.
We'll make the Copernican shift from who we think we should be—to who we actually are.
As men.
As women.
As lovers.
I hope you'll enjoy listening.

 | Episode 307 . The Returning Practice
|
The Be Fully Alive Podcast
It is said that, in some Tantric traditions, a practitioner receives the sexual teachings only when they have transcended desire. When desire is fully inhabited it no longer seeks anything beyond itself.
These Tantric adepts, the stories tell us, have reached that place within themselves where they have realized that the true essence of sex can only be reached when desire is something we tend, rather than pursue.
In this episode, we’ll practice tending.
Tending the moment. Tending the breath. Tending desire.
We’ll move toward full sexual embodiment.
We’ll experience the same body our sexually aware Neolithic ancestors inhabited during a time when sex, desire and mystery were all a part of a life-giving arc connecting us to one another and the wisdom that constructs our reality.
Returning home.

 | Episode 308 . Silas’s Story
|
The Be Fully Alive Podcast
For forty years, Silas has built string instruments in a converted Vermont barn. Each morning before dawn, he stands quietly with his coffee, allowing his body and mind to settle before touching any tool. This conscious transition from thought to embodied presence forms the foundation of his craft.
There's something ancient in this ritual of arrival. The way Silas honors both the old-growth spruce and maple he works with, and the decades of experience that have seasoned his own hands.
Like the violins he creates, human capacity for resonance deepens with time.
In this episode we explore the sacred geometry that connects a violin's scroll to the spiral of our inner ear. The Fibonacci pattern is a "homecoming" between instrument and listener. A fractal that appears in galaxies and sunflowers. Revealing a resonance between maker and music.
Silas's life is a meditation on embodied wisdom.
Standing in his barn at dawn, Silas embodies what it means to arrive fully in our lives, ready to create from a place of tending to what is most alive in us, rather than the pursuit of some ideal.

 | NeoTantra: A New Introduction
|
The Be Fully Alive Podcast . 8-Week Series
We are living in a remarkable moment of convergence.
For centuries, our world has been divided into two perspectives:
The scientific — expressed as formulas, data and peer-reviewed research.
And the intuitive — expressed as oral tradition, poetry and sacred story.
We are now discovering, through neuroscience, somatic research and quantum physics, that the songs and stories of the ancients carried knowledge that no formula or graph could contain.
The practices and the history. The 25,000-year arc that reveals that the sacred erotic was once celebrated, then buried, and is now, in our lifetime, being re-membered.
This is that introduction.
WEEK 1: NEOTANTRA: A NEW INTRODUCTION The split, the re-membering, and the invitation home.
Episode 285 (Mon): NeoTantra: A New Introduction The origins of sacred sexuality. Seven thousand years of evidence. Why our relationship with the sacred erotic is an act of cultural reclamation.

Episode 294 (Mon): The Authority Of Desire Not just a concept — a cosmology, a psychology, an archaeology, and a science. How desire was shaped, why it went quiet, and what it takes to hear it again.
Episode 295 (Wed): Practice: Our Body Knows First A practice for softening the brake, finding the compliance yes and the full-body yes — and learning to trust what we hear in the quiet that follows.
Episode 296 (FRI): Yuki’s Yes She was extraordinarily good at yes. It took her years to discover she didn’t know what she wanted.
WEEK 5: THE BODY RECLAIMED Wilhelm Reich, body armor, and what somatic research reveals about blocked energy — and how to release it.

Episode 300 (Mon): Wilhelm Reich Upset The Status Quo (And Why That Matters) A turning point in the history of human sexuality - 1920, Wilhelm Reich’s work revealed that the ungovernable aliveness of the body in genuine relationship with its own vitality cannot be centralized or owned.
