Coming Home . June 26th - 28th . NeoTantra Retreat For Singles & Couples
There are weekends that come and go. And then there are weekends that change the coordinates of our interior life so completely that before and after is something we note.
Coming Home is one of those weekends — a retreat that does what the best travel always does. It takes us somewhere extraordinary and returns us, renewed, inspired and connected, to ourselves. A NeoTantra immersion for singles and couples, set on one of the most quietly extraordinary places in Southern California.
Friday, your day of travel, you'll follow a winding path up into the Santa Monica Mountains, leisurely arriving at your destination for the weekend, Commune Topanga. A true urban sanctuary. Ten acres of oak trees, organic gardens, and unhurried paths that wind through this remote valley less than an hour from the heart of Los Angeles. The air is different here. The pace is different. Your body feels the transition immediately.
You've entered sacred space.
Your accommodations await — intimate tea house rooms, shared dormitories, charming A-frame cabins, all nestled privately into the hillside, accessible along winding paths through oak trees and prickly pear. Organic mattresses. Cozy linens. Views framing a canyon sky that, tonight, will be extravagant with stars.
Dinner is served at the common table — home-cooked from the bounty of LA's finest local farmers. The kind of meal that slows us down and delights us with simple, grounded flavors. Around the table, strangers become, with surprising speed, not strangers at all. There is a quality that appears when a group of people with hearts attuned to love and generosity gather together — spacious attentiveness, genuinely curious, warmly present.
A quality we feel even before we name it.
Then the yoga studio. Wooden beams. Stained glass mandala catching the last of the evening light. Cushions arranged in a circle on warm floors. We breathe together for the first time — landing in our inhale and our exhale. A simple breath that becomes, over the course of that first evening, a wave of sensation and aliveness that reminds us, quietly and unmistakably, that we are far more alive than we often realize.
The canyon night awaits. The sauna, glowing warm against the cool June evening. The hot tub under open sky. Stars so close we forget, briefly, everything that felt urgent this morning.

Saturday . Awakening
|
Coming Home . June 26th - 28th . NeoTantra Retreat For Singles & Couples
Saturday belongs to you.
Morning begins gently — fruit, tea, coffee in the canyon air, a slow breakfast shared at the common table. Then back to the quiet inner space of the yoga studio. Submerging deeper into the body.
We move. We shake. We release.
Eyes closed, music filling the warm wooden space, we begin to release the tension we've unknowingly accumulated over weeks, months and years. Tension stored in the shoulders, the jaw, the hips — released, organically, through movement. And now the room feels lighter. We look around and see one another again for the very first time.
Hello fellow travelers.
We practice soul gazing — seated face to face with another person, eyes open, simply being and beholding. One of the most unexpectedly moving experiences of the weekend. To be truly seen by another human being — and to truly see them — activates something in the human body that is both ancient and immediate.
We practice the melting hug. A full-body embrace held long enough — two minutes, sometimes more — to give ourselves the opportunity to finally let go of bracing and actually arrive into being held. Most have hugged and been hugged thousands of times.
Very few have been held like this.
Lunch break is next, along with an assignment — a conversation to share, a rare opportunity to explore the inner wishes we carry in our intimate lives. A conversation that, at first, seems daunting, that becomes one of the most liberating parts of the weekend. We discover with surprise that the experiences we believed were uniquely ours reveal themselves to be deeply, beautifully human and widely shared.
And, in the midst of all of this, something I call "zero time." Time in the afternoon on Saturday to simply be. The sauna. The plunge pool. A long lazy trail through the Santa Monica Mountains. Fresh bread and a snack spread laid out in the garden.
The particular luxury of an afternoon with nowhere to be and nothing to manage.
Later, the afternoon session takes us deep into the body's center — the pelvis and the pelvic floor. The wellspring of creative and erotic intelligence that modern life quietly dampens. Together we move, we breathe, we awaken the inner flame that never goes out. NeoTantra practices designed to amplify our body's erotic register.
Then a women's circle and a men's circle — intimate separate spaces to speak honestly and discover ourselves in each other's stories.
Saturday evening is ceremonial. The lights are low. Candles. We move slowly together through practices of surrender and simple pleasure. By this time in the weekend the yoga studio has transformed into something softly extraordinary — a gathering of people who arrived as strangers, now tenderly attuned to one another.
We move together in the ancient rhythm of breath and sensation — learning to ride the wave of our own ecstatic energy as it moves through our bodies like currents finding their natural course.
A sustained, shared, surrender to the moment.

Sunday . Recognition & Homecoming
|
Coming Home . June 26th - 28th . NeoTantra Retreat For Singles & Couples
Sunday morning arrives with birds singing in the trees and the kind of soft gentle light that only exists in the canyon. Fruit and coffee. The unhurried feeling of being a part of something bigger than we are.
In the morning session we explore the cultivation of sexual pleasure — breath and sensation moving together, expanding beyond the familiar into something our entire body inhabits, building and expanding beyond our mind's capacity to name it. Pleasure that is always there, waiting for us to notice it, appears and reaffirms this reality. That we are, indeed, very much alive. And ready to explore.
We ask the question — Who are we as sexual beings? Our answers surprise us. Inspire us. Ignite us. Honest, tender and luminous.
And then, a deep unwinding — opening the door to valley orgasm. Not a peak, a valley. A way of being. A pivotal shift, all of this accessed, fully clothed, without sexual contact, through awareness and inner practice.
Sunday brunch is abundant and unhurried. Rose petals scatter across the table. A quiet ease of intimacy fills the space.
The closing ceremony — the Pancha Upacharas — one of the most beautiful rituals of all. Five offerings, awakening the senses. Doorways between human and divine.
Sandalwood paste, cool and grounding. Flower petals held between the fingertips — offered with mantras. Incense that moves through the room like indiscriminate love, touching everything without preference. The slow, circular motion of candles that illuminate, one by one, the faces of the people who have become friends. Sweets — the final offering, food for the divine that exists within us.
The world we return to will look different.
More beautiful, more alive, more connected.
Because we are.
"I left feeling energized and hopeful — not just about sex, but about new, more connected and embodied ways of relating in general." — Brendan
I can't wait to welcome you home.
Much love, Dawn
