Red Condor Partners - Western Region

As Red Condor continues to grow, it is important for us to stay in touch with each partner that represents Red Condor's ASAV service. With this in mind, it is my intent to keep you informed with a monthly newsletter.

Each month we will keep you up to date on the advanced spamming technology we see developing and will inform you on how we are combating these new threats.

I will also be introducing you to some of the people who make up the Red Condor Team. It is important to be aware of not only what we do but who makes it possible to continue with the best product and support we can produce.

Red Condor has been growing at an amazing rate this year. Sales have doubled each quarter, and it is our partners that have made this happen.

So thank you to our partners. I hope that you will find the information in our newsletters to be helpful and informative, helping to grow your Red Condor base.

Now That You're On Board, What's Next?

Every Red Condor Partner's Company is structured a little differently. When it comes to marketing Red Condor, we want to provide an effective component in your customers' overall network security.

But the common component of successfully marketing Red Condor is understanding what makes Red Condor different from the 180 plus ASAV vendors. Now that you have agreed to represent Red Condor we would like to provide you with a little training to make you feel not only comfortable with the product, but to help you understand why we are able to keep up with the spammers' volume of spam and their ongoing waves of new technology that defeat the leading anti-spam products.

Give me a call to arrange a training date and time for you. It can be done in person or via a web conference or a combination of the two. This training can be structured to meet whatever level of technical experience is needed. We can arrange to have and engineer on line as well as one of our spam reviewers to discuss how we filter and create new defenses.

What's Next!

2007 will usher in new innovations that will see Red Condor's footprint widen in the email security space.

Version 4.0 of our software system will be released and will include advanced features to enhance our email filtering. We are also evaluating additional options that you will be able to add such as spyware filtering, web content filtering and email encryption.

Red Condor has also introduced two new appliances for those customers who prefer an on site solution. These two appliances will give you greater opportunities to address the 1,000 plus mailbox enterprise. We also have smaller appliances in Beta at this time to address the smaller opportunities that you may encounter. If you have opportunities for these appliances, of any sized account, please give me a call to discuss. I will get pricing and sales material to you.

I am preparing my travel for Q1 2007 over the next couple of weeks. If you have any potential clients that you would like me to accompany you with during a sales call, please give me a call to discuss. Also, give me a call if you wish to arrange any in-house training. Every week I encounter competition, overcome objections or misconceptions and receive testimonials from resellers and customers alike. I can assist you to broaden your Red Condor base. I look forward to hearing from you.

A little Fine Tuning

On occasion, you may encounter a customer who still feels that they receive too much spam. If you have such a customer, or when you encounter one, Red Condor will help you analyze their mail stream.

Just earlier this week I looked at one of our customers who has 93 mailboxes. They are a civil engineering firm and they have had a history of excessive spam. An overview of 24 hours one day this week showed that they have been hit with over 1.1 million pieces of mail. 99.8% had been blocked or quarantined. With Red Condor's long term spam block rate of 98.5%, each employee would still have received 177 pieces of spam over the 24 hour period, but we were performing at a much higher level. I point this out because spam is of course relative to their mail stream. Another factor here that we have not and cannot factor in is the mail that was blocked at the SMTP session level. This is an unusual case but this volume is due to Directory Harvest Attacks that were preventing them from using their VPN prior to using Red Condor. We are essentially "jumping in front of the bus" for them.

To achieve the block rate of 99.8%, Red Condor offered to help with an analysis and fine tuning. We are, after all, a fully managed service and will assist you and your customer to achieve your best results. If you need such assistance, please give Tim McAllister a call here at Red Condor at 707-703-4039. Tim will perform the analysis and make suggestions for fine tuning your customer's account.
