Happy Valentines
Day!
Happy Valetines Day everyone! I am sitting banished to the 3rd
floor while Carol Lee is hosting a V-Day Ladies Tea Party downstairs at
our new pad in Fairfield IA. I hear the chattering of happy people below
but alas I must stay scarce as to not poison the party with testosterone
;-)
So ANYWAY....I wanted to give you all one more chance to download a
couple of live soundboard recordings from The Broadway Oyster Bar show in
St Louis MO on Sat Jan 5th. I hope you enjoy them and feel free to share
them with your friends!
One of the evenings highlights was 2nd set's Found Object Loop for the
Jimi Hendrix Classic: Little Wing where I took pots, utensils, cheese
grater, kitchen scale, water cooler bottle and more and looped up a
percussion groove. Then I got two beautiful women up from the audience
named Kasey and Tiffany to add their rhythmic vocal sighs to the loop
before I looped up the guitar and bass parts for Little Wing. This is the

There's a nice version of Dragonfly from the 1st set that you can
download above.

Next month I'll be doing some special shows in Fairfield IA at
MORNINGSTAR STUDIOS...A Dance concert with an ALL BEATLES 1st set on
Saturday March 15 at 8pm ($12 door/$7 advance). Sunday March 16, Art of
Live-Looping Clinic for musicians, 11:30am-1:30pm ($15/$10 students).
Followed by a special Family Show from 2-4pm ($3 kids/$7 adults).

expertise and enthusiasm for life. Through dynamic performance,
demonstration and audience participation, students learn the principle of
HARMONY is not only a key to making great music, but it is also a key
element in Character Education and in developing great life skills. Arthur
emphasizes LISTENING as an essential life skill to create HARMONY both in
music, in the classroom and in life. The Musical Life Skills Character
Education Program also reinforces social diversity, team work, tolerance
and anti-bullying.

"Art of Live-Looping"
Clinics for High School/College/Music School
Arthur's "Art of Live-Looping" Clinics are highly entertaining
and interactive for musicians and "non-musicians" alike who are interested
in learning more about the Live-Looping phenomenon that has revolutionized
solo performances around the world. Learn how to use this digital
technology to create an entire one-man band, add spice to your solo
performances or just enhance your creativity and have fun jamming and
writing new songs in your basement.
What is Live-Looping? It is the art of layering sounds in a live
performance using a looping device that records/samples sounds and plays
them back in a "loop". Once your initial "loop" is recorded it plays back
indefinitely, then you can continue to record (overdub) more sounds on top
of your initial "loop" to create more depth and fun.
