Delta Omicron
The Delta Omicron Foundation, Inc. trustees held their 2007 annual meeting in the beautiful surroundings of The MacDowell Colony in Peterborough, New Hampshire. The trustees attended the festive Medal Day ceremony held in the midst of a yearlong colony centennial celebration. Named for its 1907 founders, American composer, Edward MacDowell and his wife, Marian, the colony consists of 32 rustic artist studios nestled among 450 acres of lovely New England woodland. The Delta Omicron Studio was built in 1927 and is one of the most picturesque at the colony. Notable because of its enormous stone fireplace, the splendid natural light through its wall of windows have made it one of the most popular at the colony.

The beautiful Mason-Hamlin memorial grand piano in the Delta Omicron Studio was dedicated in 1996. This summer, the trustees presented a framed mini-keyboard that includes the names of all those who contributed toward the purchase of the piano. The Petzold-Collyer Memorial Piano is named in memory of Roxine Beard Petzold and Adelaide Louise Collyer, the first two presidents of the Delta Omicron Foundation and past Fraternity presidents. Roxine was a president of the Professional Panhellenic Association. Both, she and Adelaide served as chairpersons of the Music Panhellenic Committee.
