1.) JUST HOW COMMITTED ARE YOU? (Thomas Haller)

Raising children is a sacred responsibility. Inherent and important duties come with the birth or adoption of a child. Parenting is not always easy. It is not always fun. It is not always time efficient. And it is always necessary.

Are you really a committed parent? Learn the 10 commitments every parent should make as they take on the responsibility of raising children? Determine if your current behavior reflects a belief in the 10 commitments.

2.) PARENT TALK: Words That Empower: Words That Wound (Chick Moorman)

3. ELIMINATING NEGATIVE BEHAVIORS (Thomas Haller)

Are you ready to put an end to whining, lying, cussing, hitting or any other unwanted behavior in your children? Do you feel like you've tried every strategy possible and are not sure what to do next? If so, this session is for you. You will learn practical tools that will help you stop irritating, annoying, frustrating behaviors.

4.SELF-RESPONSIBLE LANGUAGE (Chick Moorman)

Do your language patterns reflect a belief in autonomy, personal responsibility, and ownership for one's feelings and actions? Your style of speaking influences the language patterns your children learn. The words children use create their thoughts. Their repetitious thoughts become their beliefs. And their beliefs influence their actions. If you want your children choosing self-responsible behaviors you have to commit to learning and speaking self-responsible language. Find out how at this session.

(2:30 - 4:00 P.M.)

(Concurrent sessions)

5. TRANSFORMING AGGRESSION IN CHILDREN (Thomas Haller)

Are you worried about your child's angry and aggressive behavior? Is the aggression of one of your children resulting in feelings of fear for the other children in your family? Have you had it with the hitting and fighting between your kids? Are you ready to alter the aggressive behavior you see around you? If so, this session is appropriate for you.

In this stimulating presentation you will learn about the types of aggression and the societal conditions that contribute to the creation of aggressive behavior. You will be introduced to the three phases of transforming aggression in children, the beliefs that one must hold to effectively transform aggression, and the rules needed to guide and teach children to constructively manage their aggression. Most importantly, you will learn the effective techniques that will change aggressive behavior in your children.

6. GOOD PRAISE/ BAD PRAISE (Chick Moorman)

The assumptions are that praise builds confidence and self-esteem. But what if it isn't so? Can't praise be administered capriciously, haphazardly and even dangerously? We will examine the real effects that praise has on its recipients. Learn to eliminate praise junkies by delivering a style of praise that helps your children develop a strong internal sense of self-esteem.

8.) THE 5 VOICES OF EMLIGHTENED PARENTING (Chick Moorman)

There are five important voices that can be use in any parenting situation. They are nurture, structure, teaching, accountability, and debriefing. At this session you will learn which of the five is your predominant voice and how to use the other voices to strengthen your parenting style. Included will be practical ideas you can put to use immediately.

If the only tool you have is hammer, you tend to treat everything as if it is a nail. Add more tools to your parenting tool box with this session.

Do you want them to follow a set of rules laid down by others or create a personal code of ethics for themselves?
