Shamanic Counseling
Shamanic Counseling is a 21st century method of personal growth and self-revelation using the ancient and tried principles of shamanism. It is a form of spiritual counseling in which the client uses shamanic divinatory methods and journeying skills to derive wisdom and answers to their most important questions. It is also a method of realizing one’s inherent spiritual power. Therefore, one of the primary goals of shamanic counseling is self-empowerment. The shamanic counselor serves as a guide and expert on the method but not on providing answers. 2012 Alchemical Transformation of Consciousness
Energy healing is an ancient practice of bringing wholeness to a person’s mind, body, and spirit. Interest in this type of practice has reached an all time high with the introduction of modern methods of this ancient practice usually kept secret among certain initiates of various cultures. This evening seminar will describe the basic principles of these “secret” methods and why they have been revealed at this time. Very practical and concrete exercises using energy will also be taught so that participants will have a tangible experience of this usually subtle yet powerful phenomenon. Various healing modalities will be demonstrated as well as their practical application in health and healing so that people can directly experience the direct effects of these practices.

"The Esoteric Meaning of the Caduceus"
"Let us now return to the nadis, or circulations of etheric energy as described by the Hindu tradition. As we saw when discussing the correspondences of the Sun, the most important of all nadis is the susumna-nadi, the central channel which runs from the base chakra to the top of the head. On each sie of the susmna-nadi run two other important nadis: ida and pingala. Just by seeing the traditional intertwined representation of these three channels, one can immediately suspect a symbolic association with Mercury's caduceus-as many Indian masters themselves like to point out. . . The Tantric tradition, which is the part of Hinduism dealing with energy manipulations and chakra awakening, relates ida-nadi to the Moon and the left side of the body, and pingala-nadi to the Sun and the right side of the body. The general idea, with these main circulations of etheric energy, is that they each induce a particular state or condition of consciousness. As we saw before, when the susumna-nadi is flowing, consciousness turns into a pure awareness of the Higher Self."

Healing, Wholeness, & Power
Diane Hindman and I are continuing the series of seminars entitled "The Integration of Shamanic Arts and the Outcomes of Intention." The second seminar will focus on the concept of healing as a form of power and how loss of one's personal power can lead to "dis-ease" on many levels. We will explore ways to bring back and cultivate one's sense and feeling of authentic personal power on many levels. We will continue to use shamanic journeying as the main tool as well as cognitive and energetic tools to enhance our expression of the authentic self.
