Elvis and Sherrill Nielsen
For the first time during this year's Valentine's with Elvis concert series Stephen performed "Soflty as I Leave You". We have been overwhelmed with emails and calls from fans wanting to know more about this song.
Pictured above is Elvis and Sherrill Nielsen who performed this song as a duet. In 1977 their version of this song was nominated for a Grammy as duet of the year.
Sherrill passed away on December 10, 2010

1967 - Elvis Presley bought a red chestnut gelding and a palomino mare.
1969 - Elvis Presley bought a microfilm reader from Eastman Kodak. He subsequently had more than 4,000 personal items microfilmed.
1973 - Variety reported that Elvis Presley had been offered $500,000 for six London concerts at the Earl's Court Stadium. The Colonel turned down the offer.
1977 - In Charlotte, North Carolina, Elvis Presley invited Terry Alden, Ginger's sister, on stage to play a short selection of classical music on the piano.
