The Living Mandala

Consecration Ceremony

Emory Univeristy

Pitts Garden at Cannon Chapel

Thursday March 29, 2012

6 PM

Today is the final planting of flowers for the Living Mandala at the Pitts Garden at Cannon Chapel on the Emory University campus.

Come and be part of history!  Designed and engineered by Mr. John Johnson, landscape architect and Venerable Tsering Phuntsok, resident Drepung Loseling monk, they will be on hand today starting at Noon today to direct volunteers who would like to plant their own piece of the Living Mandala.

They will have the flowers on hand waiting to be planted and the planting will continue until they are all situated in their permanent home within the mandala.

Join us tonight at 6 PM for the consecration ceremony with the Venerable monks of Drepung Loseling Monastery.

From dream to reality the Living Mandala is the only one of its kind here in North America.

The above photo was taken Monday March 26, 2012 at the blessing of the Living Mandala site to prepare it for planting.

The photo to the right shows the marking of the lines for the planting of the Living Mandala.
