Rhythm guitar player John Wilkinson, who performed with Elvis Presley in 1,200 concerts, has died at his home in southwest Missouri. He was 67.
John suffered a stroke in 1989 that left him unable to play guitar, but he continued singing with fellow musicians and members of the original TCB Band.
When introduced by Elvis on stage, John would always play
"In the Early Morning Rain"
John often joked that Elvis only pronounced his name correctly one time out of 1,200 shows. Elvis would introduce him as John "Wilkerson"
