Suspended in mid-air, I am floating in a blood red sky. The sun screams through black clouds slithering at the horizon like serpents waiting to swallow the beating heart of the day.

I am descending slowly, a pulsing human feather on the last warm current of air.

In the same sky, the full moon is rising. As tranquil in its birth as the sun is fierce in it's death, the moon is wrapped in billowing veils of pale blue and pink. With soft, yet majestic assuredness, this crystal white orb ushers in the night.

Red and black. Crystal white, blue and pink.

The air is around me is filled with a cool, sweet fragrance as day and night, for a moment, coexist.

I look below me, ah! Below me! A thousand, thousand, thousand islands glow blue-green against the silvery sapphire sea. A thousand, thousand, thousand islands each shimmering with a thousand twinkling lights.

I am here for love. Love awaits me.

I breathe a breath that has no end. No beginning. I’m not the one breathing. Yet breathing is. My spine shudders as my body turns inside out. Broken open. No resistance. An uncontrollable expression of love through my body. Nothing left of myself.

I am love's.

Tantra continues to show me, over and over and over again, how to let go of control and live the uncontrollable. How to rest in the choiceless and be, truly, love(d). You see, love isn't about the relationship. It's not about a man and isn't about this woman either. It's something that shines through all of those.

During this experiential evening we’ll explore . . .

• Tantra . An ancient path of self discovery. A meditation practice that centers around the wisdom of the body. For thousands of years seekers have found the techniques of Tantra to be empowering and liberating. A path with heart. Of the 112 Tantric meditations, 6 of these address the spiritual aspects of lovemaking. Tantra includes sexuality as a part of the awakening process. Couples and singles find a great deal of support in deepening intimacy and openness in lovemaking through this practice. There can be a total transformation from repressed or blocked sexuality to free flowing authenticity and deep love in the realm of lovemaking.

• Sexuality .  No other human experience demands such a tenuous balance between focused activity and total surrender. To enter sex with total awareness is to experience orgasm as meditation. This level of intimacy with reality brings to the meditator the direct experience of oneness as a living reality, the moment to moment creativity that is life - oneness felt and experienced through the human senses.

• Love . The true potential of love emerges when peak experiences are lived in and beyond the bedroom, creating a life and a world that is motivated by intense joy, wonder, awe and ecstasy.

Sitting in circle within The Red Tent, they are relieved of their daily responsibilities and cared for by other women. All working and doing aside, together they explore the secrets of the cosmos through the gateway of their wombs. They feed their femininity and emerge, three days later, refreshed, renewed and empowered by what they have shared and witnessed.

Sisters, it is time to gather.

We will gather together to dream a potent dream of womanhood. We will be fed by the rich stores of nature; nourished by the fullness of our life's journey. Dawn Cartwright is a Tantric visionary, sacred writer, world traveler, and innovator in bio-energetic Tantra fusion. She discovered the path of Tantra by accident shortly after a period of life-changing mystical experiences in lovemaking more than twenty years ago. Dawn’s study and research is focused on the ancient and modern forms of Tantra, bio-energetics, and the actualization of human potential through sexuality. She is the founder of the Chandra Bindu Tantra Institute in Santa Monica, California.

Dawn received her degree in psychology from the University of California, Davis, and has had extensive training in Tantra, Yoga, Sexuality, Bioenergetics, Meditation, and Expressionistic Movement & Art. She has studied many schools of Tantra including Neo-Tantra, Shaktism, Kashmirian Shivaic Tantrism, Vaishnavism, Tantric Buddhism, Tantric Kriya Yoga and the Vigyan Bhairav Tantra. Dawn has had the honor of receiving these transmissions from some of the most acclaimed Tantric masters of modern times, Aditi Devi Ma, Christopher Tompkins, Margo Anand, Daniel Odier, Bohdi Avinasha, and Osho.
